EXCLUSIVE Female paedophile teacher who had sex with a 15-year-old pupil is now in prison relationship with woman who stole her friends’ life savings

A pedophile teacher jailed for seducing a teenage student has begun a relationship behind bars with a female con artist who stole her friends’ savings, MailOnline can reveal.

Kandice Barber, who sent the 15-year-old boy explicit photos before having sex with him in a field, has told friends she found love with con artist Jay Delaney in an open women’s prison.

The pair are “100% committed to each other” and openly hold hands, kiss and cuddle – and Barber plans to start living as a couple when Delaney, who wears her hair in a “boyish” crop, is released from prison, a source has revealed.

Barber, 37, has served almost half of her six-year sentence and is being reintegrated into the community, while Delaney, 34, began a five-year term for her £388,000 extensive fraud in April last year.

Both are now targeting Release on Temporary License (ROTL) to return them to useful roles in society.

But when they return to East Sutton Park Women’s Open Prison, near Maidstone, Kent, they resume their relationship, which has lasted for about seven months.

Barber was condemned by a judge as ‘exceedingly despicable’ when she went to prison in 2021 for having unlawful sex with the impressionable youngster.

The teacher, who worked at a school in Princess Risborough, Bucks, flirted with the boy and sent sexually charged messages during a school assembly.

The blonde bombarded him with messages, including one asking him “do you like boobs or butt?” — and sent him a photo of himself on a bed surrounded by sex toys.

But Delaney is willing to take on some of the family responsibilities if she can join Barber, who is expected to be released early next year.

Her case sparked backlash in the teaching profession after the court heard how she threatened the boy if he spoke about their affair.

Recorder Bal Dhaliwal imprisoned her at Aylesbury Crown Court, saying Barber had “committed a gross breach of trust” and “abused a child in your care and groomed him for your own sexual gratification.”

She told the teacher, “The victim was a 15-year-old boy in his senior year of school. You had control and authority over him. He was attracted to you because of the compliments, you made him have sex with you while he was an apprentice grooming you.

“You threatened to take him with you if he reported it. You already had authority over him by virtue of your position, but using threats is more than reprehensible.’

Her new partner, from Southend, Essex, stole from her victims by claiming she ran a hole rich quick plan over the course of five years from 2015 to 2020.

Delaney would tell her victims, many of whom were friends and colleagues, that she worked for Aviva and was able to turn an investment of £5,500 into £10,000 within a few years, enticing them to put most of their savings into her’ scheme to invest. ‘.

She sobbed when she was jailed at Basildon Crown Court last April after admitting 38 counts of fraud.

Judge Samantha Cohen said, “Before 2015 you committed no criminal offenses, but between 2015 and 2020 you perpetuated a fraudulent scheme. You preyed on friends and colleagues and dishonestly earned nearly £400,000 for your own gain. You said you worked for a company, that was a lie.

“You offered a substantial return on people’s investment – ​​that was a lie. Often on the investments, you perpetuated to pay them back with the increased premium. This often lured the victim into further investments. Some of them asked their friends and family to invest in the scheme as well. I expect them to feel guilty about that, but the only guilt is yours.

“You made up a series of excuses about your health or a serious life-threatening illness to scare them off what happened to their money.
