EXCLUSIVE: Diane Warren talks teaming up with Taylor Swift on Say Don’t Go: ‘She was great to work with – it was an amazing collaboration!’
Diane Warren has worked with all the great singers – including Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Cher – and her career is doing better than ever these days as she shows no signs of slowing down.
The Oscar-winning songwriter teams up with Taylor Swift for the vault song, Say Don’t Go. The song was released as part of her album 1989 (Taylor’s Version).
The 33-year-old singer wrote the song ten years ago as it was originally supposed to appear on her 1989 album, which was originally released in October 2014.
Warren explained to DailyMail.com how she and Taylor created the tune together.
“I usually don’t write with anyone, I write alone,” Warren told DailyMail.com.
‘But I made an exception for Taylor. She was great to work with, it was a great collaboration. I was so impressed with her because I am a workaholic. I came over on New Year’s Day to work on it, and she came too!’ said the star who has been nominated for an Oscar no fewer than fourteen times.

Diane is loved at the Oscars. Warren is currently back in the awards race with her The Fire Inside, played by Becky G from the film Flamin Hot, directed by Eva Longoria.

Say Don’t Go is about a woman who is unwilling to give up on love, even though their partner has given up.

Taylor wrote the album after her brief romances with ex-boyfriends Conor Kennedy and Harry Styles.

Following her push to take back ownership of her music, she has now re-recorded and unveiled the new version of the album, causing users of the popular Apple streaming service to experience issues downloading and streaming the new songs.
To commemorate the big re-release, Taylor shared a series of promotional photos of herself on the beach, along with a handwritten note addressed to loyal Swifties.

The star, who is dating sportsman Travis Kelce, went on to reflect on what the work has meant to her and her fans since its initial release nearly a decade ago.
