Miles has admitted he was ‘stuck in a perfection trap I couldn’t get out of’ when he became obsessed with achieving the ideal body and despite putting on weight, his self-confidence deteriorated.

He said: ‘I haven’t had sex for three months, no interest.

“It takes away a lot of things when you limit yourself like that because you’re exhausted all the time.

‘I think a lot of people would say, ‘Don’t be silly, you must be the most competent man in bed’, but it got to the point where I had to pull up the covers, or do it in pitch black. , or I would look at myself in the mirror and think, “I don’t look good when I’m intimate with someone,” and that was really what I thought about before a date. Because I was in a relationship, I was so focused on the aesthetics.”

Miles says his obsession with his muscles became so bad that he didn’t recognize it was “weird” to go to the gym in the early hours of Christmas Day, and to take Tupperware boxes of his own food to restaurants to to make sure he ate just the right amount. carbohydrates and proteins in accordance with his strict diet.

And friends who did not understand his devotion, he simply quit his life.

He explained: ‘So on Christmas Day I went to the gym at 3am because I needed a training session.

“I couldn’t live without the gym, and it’s funny because I don’t remember that being weird.

‘I was like, “Okay, I’m going to the gym, it’s fine. It’s Christmas, we’re done with Christmas now, I’m going to the gym now.”

The Chelsea star believes Love Island is a big factor in why young adults have become obsessed with body shape and setting unrealistic goals for viewers to aspire to

‘I used to take Tupperware boxes of food to a restaurant with my friends. I remember doing it, and it was like, “What am I doing?” And that’s the beginning of the feeling that no one understands you, so you kind of shut people out, it’s almost like you become arrogant, you know and don’t understand why I go to the gym so often, because you don’t so I doesn’t want you to say, “Come on, enjoy your life,” or “Stop being boring,” all that stuff, and you say, “No, let me stay in my discipline.”

“So yeah, I was weighing food. I couldn’t exceed more than one gram of the protein or carbs I had at the time.”

Miles believes Love Island is a big factor in why young adults have become obsessed with body shape and setting unrealistic goals for viewers to aspire to.

He explained: ‘If I had watched Love Island in my early teens it would have been like, “Okay, all these boys are super muscular, I have to look like this.”

“I hope the TV industry recognizes that and shows that being jacked isn’t the only body type you have in the world, and also learns how to have a healthy relationship with your body, and that’s why this documentary is super important, because it sheds light on that.

“I want as many young guys as possible to watch this and say, ‘OK, I’m not going crazy.’”

Looking ahead to his appearance on Dancing On Ice, which starts in January, he says the ITV show has been a blessing as it forced him out of the gym.

Miles says his Dancing On Ice training has been beneficial to his condition as it has gotten him out of the gym and focused on a new challenge

He admits that the on-ice training is so tough that he is too tired to continue his usual training regimen.

Miles said, “I just love it so much. I go on the ice with my coach and we have a good time.

‘And I still go to the gym, I don’t go that often. But even now I train differently.

“So, my coach, we do stability work, we do core exercises, we do lightweight strength work, just to make sure that when I’m on the ice, first of all, I don’t have an accident. , and that I am fit enough to be on the ice.’

Miles is rumored to be working with pro skater Vanessa Bauer, which he’s excited about – and not just because of her skills on the ice.

He added, “Is she currently single? I don’t know, I think I’m focused on actually skating because honestly, if you’ve never been on ice, it’s like learning to walk is so hard.

“So I’m hoping Vanessa just makes me look good so we can talk about romance later!” Look, let’s try to win!’
