The budding romance between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift is “too good to be true” and a way to get “great press,” according to Catfish host Kamie Crawford, who has waded into the frenzy surrounding the couple after it was suggested that the sportsman’ with the help of the singer.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and Taylor appeared to confirm the dating rumors on Sunday after they were pictured packing on the PDA at a private post-game party for the Super Bowl champions at Arrowhead Stadium.
In an exclusive chat with DailyMail.com, Kamie, who noted that she was friends with someone who previously dated the NFL star, suggested that the audience may be “Catfished,” while her co-host Nev Schulman pointed out that “before Taylor,” Travis had “only dated black women.”
‘I think it’s interesting and good for him that he’s interested in any woman who is beautiful and attractive, but it’s an undeniable, interesting kind of turn of events that all his previous relationships had been with very different looking women and now they’re all one suddenly he’s with Taylor Swift,” Nev said.

Kamie — a close friend of Kelce’s ex, Kayla Nicole — and her co-star Nev Schulman are both casting serious doubt on the legitimacy of the couple’s so-called romance.

Kamie agreed, noting that it was a “big topic” on social media.
Sports Illustrated model Kamie is good friends with sports broadcaster Kayla Nicole, who dated Travis on and off from 2017 to 2022. However, it is not clear whether the fashion model is the only ex-girlfriend of Travis with whom Kamie has a friendship.
Fans of the NFL star were quick to share their surprise at the alleged new couple, with Travis’ ex-girlfriend Maya Benberry even warning Taylor to be wary of his “infidelity.”
Nev pointed out that many men would “probably” be happy dating Taylor, despite her not being their usual type.
Kamie then shared her theory on the motivation behind the new romance, saying, “I think you have to look at people’s dating history, at the patterns of people on both sides.
“People they’ve dated in the past, the press might not have been that good, and now the press is looking really, really good. I mean, it’s great for both of them.’
She added: “So are we being catfished? I can not say it. Don’t know. Not my monkeys. Not my circus.’
Nev mused, “My question is, could Taylor Swift presumably date any man she wanted in the NFL that is available? Is Travis the man?

“The short answer is absolutely yes. I think we…something’s going on.”
Kamie then said, “Every time it’s too good to be true… We’re not in a rom-com. This is real life. I don’t know, it just gives… It gives the star athlete and the star pop star. There’s just a lot going on.’
Travis previously dated sports broadcaster and fashion model Kayla Nicole for five years before being linked to Taylor.
Before that, he enjoyed a brief romance with Catching Kelce, winner of the dating show Maya, who warned Taylor to ‘BE SMART’ in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com.
But despite doubts about Travis’ intentions, a source told DailyMail.com: ‘Taylor and Travis, especially Travis, are loving all the attention this hangout brings and has brought. Travis really wants this to be a relationship, and he really wants to see her again, and it probably will.”
They added, “Taylor is taking her time with them and she doesn’t consider them official yet.
“They’re going to see each other again, she’s going to give him more chances, it was definitely a big step for the next thing.”
It is believed Taylor will be in attendance for Sunday night’s game when the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Jets in New York City.
Travis addressed the dating rumors on his brother’s podcast, New Heights, and hinted that the couple will keep things more private in the future.

The pair first became romantically linked when it was revealed that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end attended her Eras Tour concert and had tried to give her his number.
On an earlier episode of his podcast, he revealed that he went to her show at Arrowhead Stadium but couldn’t get her number.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings,” he said at the time.
“I was a little hurt because I couldn’t give her one of the bracelets I made for her,” he continued.
He then invited the singer to one of his future games. Just days later, the Bad Blood hitmaker was spotted in the game as the Kansas City Chiefs battled the Chicago Bears.
She happily cheered on her boyfriend as she joined his mother, Donna, in the stands in his special VIP section.
The hitmaker wore a red and white colored ensemble to show her support for the recent Super Bowl champions and appeared to be having a good time with Travis’ mother as they shouted and cheered on the team.

On Tuesday, the Look What You Made Me Do singer landed back on the East Coast and flew to New Jersey on a private jet after her whirlwind weekend.
Any relationship between the two busy professionals will have to be long-distance, as the singer will continue to perform more shows on the South American leg of her Eras tour from November 26.
She will depart for Asia, Australia and Europe from February 2024, with scheduled dates through August.
Travis and the Chiefs will play games weekly until at least January 7, and if the season goes well, they could compete for another Super Bowl victory in February.
Swift is currently enjoying a break from her Eras Tour after a whirlwind few months traveling across America and Britain.
Interestingly, the first date – November 9 in Buenos Aires, Argentina – is the exact week Travis will be away from the NFL during the Chiefs’ bye week.
That has raised the possibility that, should their relationship still continue in a month’s time, he would be available to travel to South America with his new lover.
