New mom Jena Sims has opened up about how she and her golfer husband Brooks Koepka are “prioritizing their relationship” while balancing their immensely busy schedules, booming careers and now parenthood.

The model, 34, and the athlete, 33, who first started dating in 2017 and married in June 2022, welcomed their first child together — a baby boy, whom they named Crew — on July 27.

Now, Jena spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com about how she and her boyfriend have made sure their romance remains as strong as ever while adjusting to parenthood and keeping their jobs.

She said the key is spending one-on-one time together sometimes without their newborn, even though it’s “really, really hard” to leave him.

‘We made one trip without a crew. It was very difficult to leave him, but we have to prioritize our relationship,” she said.

‘That was certainly necessary at the time. I just think that we are the CEOs of this whole operation, and we both need to be happy and have a healthy relationship so that the crew can see that and grow up with two loving parents.”

Jena explained that Brooks has to travel a lot for golf events, and while it’s not fun having him away so much, she and Crew have “a nice little routine.”

“If Brooks leaves, honestly, it’s OK. Crew and I have built a nice routine, she said, before jokingly adding, “And sometimes when Brooks comes home, I’m almost like, ‘Ugh. We need to (change) things.’

She also revealed that she wants to take the baby to Brooks games, explaining, “I want him to be a good travel baby.

“We took him to his recent event in Miami, and it was really fun. We didn’t really bring him to the tournament, but he was with us and it was cool to just have him out and about.”

When asked if she ever feels any “pressure” being married to one of the most successful golfers in the world, Jena insists that they only “support” each other.

No, I don’t (feel pressure) because I think we just stay on our own path, and we support each other so much,” she said.

“If he wins, it’s not just a win for him, it’s a win for us, you know? So no, I don’t feel any pressure at all because I want him to be successful.”

She admitted that people often assume she is into sports just because of her beauty, but added that she wants to be recognized for her own work.

“It’s funny because people always say, ‘Do you play golf?’ And I thought, “Oh, that’s his thing,” she explained. “I don’t even know how to make contact with the ball and the golf club.”

Jena – who has enjoyed her career and was previously crowned Miss Georgia Teen USA – was recently announced as one of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookies for 2024, something she says she has always dreamed of.

“My SI Rookie job was the equivalent of winning for me the Masters,” she told DailyMail.com.

When asked if she ever feels any

She gushed, “If he wins, it's not just a win for him, it's a win for us, you know? So no, I don't feel any pressure at all because I want him to be successful.

“I think being the cover might be the equivalent of winning the Masters, so maybe we’ll call it a US Open win or PGA win.

“And Brooks treats it as such. He is so happy for me, and vice versa. We support each other very much.’

Jena also revealed that Crew is already a total “daddy’s boy,” revealing that he “lights up” whenever he sees or hears Brooks.

“It’s so cool to see his little personality. He’s a Leo, so he’s bold. The crew knows what he wants. “If he’s hungry, he wants to eat right away,” she said.

‘It’s just funny to see. He lights up, like when he sees Brooks, or when Brooks is talking, he lights up. It’s really cute.

“Brooks is very hands-on and Crew is obsessed with Brooks. Crew definitely looks at him differently than he looks at me.

“He hears me talking all day, but when Brooks talks to the crew, (it’s different). I can tell you he’s just going to be such a daddy’s girl. And I love it.’
