EXCLUSIVE: Belinda Carlisle, 65, steps out with a leopard-print CANE as she makes rare public outing – after revealing she has torn her quadricep

Music icon Belinda Carlisle looked unrecognizable as she stepped out with a cane in West Hollywood on Monday.

The former lead singer of The Go-Go’s, 65, appeared weak as she left a building and walked to her car while leaning heavily on a leopard-print walking stick — certainly a stark difference from the woman who spent decades performing to sell… hustle .

Photographers caught the Mad About You singer using the cane to make sure she wasn’t putting too much weight on her leg, a week after she revealed she had a horrific thigh injury.

Belinda took to Instagram last week to explain that she had ‘torn her quadriceps’ as she shared a video of herself doing physiotherapy. She did not share further details about how it happened.

During the latest outing, the former rocker dressed comfortably, wearing loose black jeans and a V-neck sweater in the same color.

She accessorized the ensemble with a large black bag, which she carried on her shoulder, strappy sandals, gold hoop earrings and an array of bracelets. The hitmaker kept her blonde locks pulled back into a ponytail.

The spotting came a week after Belinda revealed she was suffering from a horrific thigh injury

She was accompanied by her husband, Morgan Mason, who stood protectively at her side and raised his arm to ensure she made it safely to the waiting vehicle.

Belinda first opened up about the injury on October 20, writing on Instagram: ‘It was a decidedly unglamorous day.

‘I tore my quads and WOW… Physio every day so I’m ready for YOU, Australia.’

The star is currently gearing up to continue her Decades Tour down under, which kicks off on November 14 and ends on December 2.

Belinda certainly looked very different from her Go-Go days. She co-founded the all-female band in 1978, which became one of the biggest rock groups of the ’80s.

The Go-Go’s, consisting of Belinda, Jane Wiedlin, Charlotte Caffey, Kathy Valentine and Gina Schock, released their debut album Beauty and the Beat in 1981, which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks. now certified double platinum.

Together, the band released three wildly popular albums—which included a slew of chart-toppers like We Got the Beat and Our Lips Are Sealed—before splitting in 1985 so the women could focus on their solo careers.

Afterwards, Belinda continued to make music on her own, releasing eight albums over the years.

Some of her biggest solo hits include Mad About You, I Get Weak, Circle in the Sand, Leave a Light On and Heaven Is a Place on Earth.

She also released a memoir in 2010, titled Lips Unsealed, and briefly dabbled in acting, starring in the film Swing Shift alongside Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell in 1984.

‘I think it’s done. I mean, everyone hit the road,” she said E! News. “And there’s something to be said: We’ve been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And there is something to be said for stopping at the top.”
