Mae Muller has recalled her “incredible experience” touring with Little Mix after being featured as the UK entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
The 25-year-old singer will fly the flag of her native country with her own song, I Wrote A Song, at the live finale in Liverpool in May.
Mae will sit down with Scott Mills for a special interview which will air on BBC One ahead of The Apprentice on Thursday.
And in an exclusive clip, Mae says that while on tour with Little Mix, she was tasked with “trying to win over” the huge crowds waiting for the iconic girl band to perform.
Mae was one of the opening acts for Little Mix during their LM5 tour in 2019, telling Scott, “I went from doing 300-person shows to 20,000, so I have to go out every night and win over 20,000 people.” .

The singer, who kicked off her music career by uploading demos to Soundcloud, adds: “They said ‘we’re here for LM, who are you?’ but it was really amazing.”
Scott notes that during the tour, Mae performed at the Liverpool Arena, where the Eurovision final will take place.
Mae then adds, ‘Can I tell you that I’m sure you already know?
‘The Liverpudlins know how to have a good time, they just gave me the best energy.’

Additionally, Mae will present the first full play of the official music video of her Eurovision entry I Wrote A Song, following its release on the same day.
Mae was featured as the UK entry for this year’s Eurovision on Zoe Ball’s BBC Radio 2 breakfast show.
She said, ‘Oh my gosh, I’ve been waiting to say that for months. I’m shaking. That has been on my lips and in the brain and in the soul and in the nails.’

Mae added that she has already been taking advice from the UK’s latest Eurovision entry, Sam Ryder, who finished a shocking second to winners Ukraine, Britain’s best result in years.
She said: “We talked yesterday, he sent me some voice notes, just the most charming man in the world, he also gave me some advice.”
Mae will take the stage at the live final in Liverpool on May 13 with her song I Wrote A Song.
The Daily Mail previously revealed that Mae was chosen by music industry insiders in the hopes that it would follow British star Sam Ryder’s success last year when he placed runner-up behind Ukrainian competitor with his hit SPACE MAN.
Sources say the decision to pick Mae was made in recent days and they are confident she will earn “much more” than zero points when she takes the stage in Liverpool in May.
One said: ‘Mae is an extraordinary talent and there is no doubt she will do the country proud and hopefully replicate the success and euphoria that Sam brought to last year’s competition.
A lot of time and effort has gone into choosing the best singer for the job, she may not yet be a household name, and of course the people who selected her hope people will ask who she is, but they believe the nation he will love her , as well as all over Europe.’
The competition is being held in the UK for the first time in 25 years.
While Mae will be unknown to most, she supported the popular girl group Little Mix on their 2019 tour and appeared in a music video for pop star Mika’s hit Grace Kelly in 2007 when she was just ten years old.
He also attended the £27,000 a year College of Fine Arts in Hampstead, north London, with the likes of Brooklyn Beckham and Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s son Rocco.

Mae began writing her own songs at the age of eight before dropping out of college and getting a job at an American Apparel store.
He later went to work at a pub in Kentish Town, North London, so that he could concentrate on his music during the day.
She recently admitted that her musical inspirations are Gwen Stefani, Florence and the Machine, and Lily Allen.
Mae also revealed that she first became interested in music when her mother played the Dixie Chicks’ album Home.
