Faye Winter has revealed the real reason behind her shocking split from Teddy Soares.
The former Love Island contestant, 27, who met her ex-boyfriend, 28, on the 2021 reality show series, announced their “heartbreaking and difficult” divorce in February after a year and a half of dating.
And while the pair have kept quiet about the cause for months, Faye has finally spilled the beans in an exclusive interview with MailOnline.
Faye, the face of The Big Help Out campaign, confessed that they were both in “different places” and wanted opposite things, which strained their relationship.
She said: “It’s been very clear, especially over the past few months, we just wanted different things. We were just in different places.

“And you know, relationships… they’re hard, you know, they’re hard things to maintain. People go through divorce every day. People go through a broken heart every day.
“It’s just part of life and it’s a very difficult situation to go through. I am not done. I don’t know if I’ll ever be ready to reveal what completely happened between us because that’s between me and Teddy.
“But we just wanted very different things and, yeah, I think that’s become… you know, I wanted to continue my charity work and my service dog work.
And it’s just one of those things, unfortunately, and it’s sad. It will always be sad and he will always hold a very special place in my heart.
“But we just have to keep going and that’s hard because everyone wants to know, but at the same time we have to respect our own privacy and also respect each other’s.”
Teddy and Faye became parents to golden retriever Bonnie during their relationship, with the former financial advisor admitting he now “misses” the dog, who lives with the Devon native.
He previously told MailOnline: ‘[Faye] post the dog, which is very difficult because we shared it. I occasionally sniff to see the dog, she’s grown so much since I left in January.’
But when asked about his comments, Faye clapped back, claiming she “never” stopped Teddy from seeing Bonnie, vowing he’d take her for the weekend.

She said, “I’ve always said, and I’m going to stick to it, if Teddy ever contacts me, if it’s in a week, a day, two years, six months, he can see Bonnie.” I’ve never stopped him. I even asked him to come see her.
“So I really struggle with that because, you know, Bonnie is not something I would ever take away from him. She’s the most incredible little character and she’s helped me so much.
“If he misses her, he can see her. He knows the door is open for him to come see her, take her for the weekend, do whatever he wants.
“But yes, once that conversation arises or if he reaches out, then he absolutely can. It’s really no problem.’
Elsewhere, Faye is calling on all young people to volunteer, as part of the May 8 launch of The Big Help Out.
The initiative marks the coronation of His Majesty the King, bringing together thousands of organizations across the country to give us every opportunity to help in our own local communities.
‘Campaign Star’ Faye has volunteered with The Guide Dogs for the past six years and has always stayed involved as her fame grew.
She said, ‘We don’t ask for money. We ask that you give some of your time, find something new that you love while trying to help someone else.
“Obviously it’s all in line with the King’s coronation and there are so many great opportunities, charities and small businesses. There’s so much you can do!’
