The 24-year-old actress rose to fame on the 2014 series of The X Factor with her band Only The Young, where they took an impressive seventh place.

But she’s now moved across the pond and is enjoying an exciting career resurgence, with her first project due out in November.

She’s also been picked up to star in a big movie due out this year, from the creators of the new Winnie The Pooh horror.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Betsy is so incredibly excited to be able to start a career in the United States. She has been acting professionally since she was 12 and these are the opportunities she dreamed of.

“Betsy has landed starring roles in two TV shows and a few movies. It all happened very quickly.

“One of the TV shows was created by the team behind 13 Reasons Why and The OA, and many other big shows she’s a fan of.”

Although bitten by the acting bug, it’s unclear if Betsy will use her singing talent in the series she’s been cast in.

Her past credits include Hulu’s Four Weddings And A Funeral, BBC’s The Tracey Ullman Show and the comedy film, The Bromley Boys.

But she’s not only thriving in her career. Betsy became engaged in January to talented songwriter and producer David Stewart, who wrote BTS’ Dynamite.

The mega-hit sold over 20 million copies and was named one of the best-selling songs of the decade. He has also written number ones for The Jonas Brothers, Shania Twain and Ava Max, just to name a few.

On Tuesday night, Betsy mingled with Hollywood’s finest as she attended the Dolce & Gabbana heritage event at Chateau Marmont.

The blonde beauty looked fabulous in a sheer blue Bodée combo as she celebrated the D&G branded bag with Natalia Bryant, Stassie Karanikolaou, Rocky Barnes and Victoria Villarroel.

In 2021, Betsy revealed that she received an injection during a night out.

The former singer took to her Instagram to share the ordeal with her followers while urging others to “remain very vigilant.”

She shared how she had been celebrating Halloween in London last weekend when the incident happened.

Betsy wrote: ‘I didn’t mean to post this, but after much thought this week, I feel it would be irresponsible not to.

“Someone tried to prick me with an injection over the weekend.

“We’ve seen all the social media posts, heard the stories, but it’s seriously real and it’s happening.”

She shared a photo of her pierced skin next to the post, which also appeared to be bruised.

She then went on to warn her supporters to keep their wits about them because “it really doesn’t matter where you are.”

Betsy continued, “I’ve only been picked on by high profile people… no matter how safe you feel in your surroundings, stay very vigilant.

“I’m literally just posting this to raise awareness.”

Betsy rose to fame after participating in the talent show before moving into fashion, designing and acting.
