The woman who was married to the real-life Wolf of Wall Street has opened up about a rather bizarre detail from the hit 2013 film that claims her relationship was completely true – a decade after Margot Robbie portrayed the unique habit on the big screen.

Nadine Macaluso, 55, who now works as a marriage counselor and family therapist in California, met Jordan Belfort, 61, when she was just 22 years old and working as a model.

The two soon became involved in a whirlwind romance, marrying in 1991 and welcoming two children together, before eventually divorcing in 2005 after 14 years of marriage.

The model-therapist has become a viral TikTok star in recent months for spilling countless secrets about their marriage — revealing which scenes from the Martin Scorsese film were accurate and which were exaggerated for the sake of views.

Nadine Macaluso, married to the real Wolf of Wall Street, has confirmed that another bizarre detail in the film is indeed true

The 55-year-old, who now works as a marriage counselor and family therapist in California, met Jordan Belfort, 61, when she was just 22 years old and working as a model.

In her latest clip, which has been viewed more than 57,000 times to date, she joked about one of the smaller details that she said is “true.”

Her TikTok video opens with Margot Robbie as Nadine, who was renamed Naomi for the film, and Leonardo DiCaprio as Belfort, sitting at a table for two in a crowded restaurant.

Robbie raises her hand to get the waiter’s attention before asking, “Can I please have a straw?”

The duo continues their flirty conversation as the blonde bombshell asks why he would ask for her number if he’s already married.

She casually puts her straw in her glass of wine as he responds, “What? Married people can’t have friends?’

The two continue as the overlapping text reads, “The funny truth about this scene that you might not expect me to say.”

The clip then cuts to Nadine as she speaks directly into the camera to reveal: ‘Honestly, I actually drink red wine out of a straw.

“I don’t want to ruin my veneers and it works.” It keeps them white.’

The former couple embarked on a whirlwind romance, marrying in 1991 and welcoming two children together, before eventually divorcing in 2005 after 14 years of marriage.

Nadine was married to Belfort for over a decade, but after they went their separate ways, she accused the financial crook of physical and mental abuse, which she said was fueled by his rampant drug addiction and multiple infidelities.

Their tumultuous relationship – as well as Jordan’s illegal stock market scheme, in which he stole nearly $200 million from investors – was portrayed in the wildly popular 2013 film Wolf of Wall Street.

The mother-of-two recently revealed she was ‘mortified’ when she found out they were making the film about her and Belfort, as she was convinced it would ruin her career as a therapist.

“When I first found out they were going to make the movie The Wolf Of Wall Street – I think it was around 2011-2012 – needless to say I was mortified,” she admitted.

‘I had already experienced this complete Greek tragedy and then it would be spread all over the world. My trauma for the world to see.

‘And it was doubly traumatizing because I was doing my PhD in psychology, so I thought, “Who the hell wants to see me as a therapist?”

Nadine added that she was upset about the film because it wasn’t her “story” and that she wouldn’t get paid for it – but that it ultimately helped her career.

“I was annoyed, it wasn’t my story, I wasn’t making any money, I had no creative input, but then suddenly I realized it was happening and it was bigger than me,” she said.

Therelationship was portrayed in the 2013 film Wolf of Wall Street, starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Jordan and Margot Robbie as Nadine, who was renamed Naomi for the film.

“And ironically what happened was people in my therapy practice said to me, ‘Wait, I want to come see you as a therapist because you’ve been through that and you came here and this is the life you’re living, you’re walking your own path. conversation.” So in the end it all worked out.”

I’m ready to share my side of the story and the wisdom I’ve learned along the way,” she said in another TikTok.

“I am now fully ready to tell my truth about what exactly happened through my experience, my story and my lens as a mother, wife, daughter, daughter-in-law and most importantly as a therapist and educated woman.”

Belfort spent 22 months in prison after it was revealed he had defrauded more than 1,500 people through an elaborate stockbroking scheme in 1999 – all while married to Nadine.

Nadine has since remarried and is with new husband John Macaluso, who has three children from a previous relationship.

In another TikTok, Nadine confirmed that she and Belfort are “still friends” and focused on co-parenting their two children.

“We’re both strong personalities, but at the end of the day we both love our kids and he gets along great with my (new) husband,” she revealed.
