Ex-Trump aide Rep. Max Miller files for divorce from mother of their newborn years after ‘abuse’ claims by former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham

Former Trump adviser Max Miller, 35, has filed for divorce from his wife Emily Moreno, 30, less than a year after the birth of their newborn baby.

According to a Cuyahoga County, Ohio, court document first obtained by DailyMail.com, the new Ohio congressman is divorcing his wife Emily after two years of marriage.

The dissolution of their marriage comes 10 months after the birth of their firstborn daughter Ruth. Miller had posted an Instagram post on Nov. 4, 2023, introducing “our beautiful daughter Ruth” and saying at the time that her birth is a reminder of the “importance of family.”

Emily is also the daughter and former campaign manager of Bernie Moreno, the Republican candidate for Senate who is running against Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown in one of the most competitive and expensive races in the country.

Moreno and Miller became engaged in 2021 after his messy relationship with former Melania spokeswoman and White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham ended amid allegations of “abuse.”

President Donald Trump spoke at their wedding at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, a year later, in August 2022. He sang the praises of Max, one of his favorite former aides whom he supported in his bid for Congress.

from Miller The relationship with Grisham ended in 2020 when he allegedly pushed her against a wall and punched her after she accused him of cheating, sources told Politico.

The couple are believed to have been together for 18 months and even got a French bulldog named Gus before things got out of hand.

Grisham initially declined to comment on the allegations and Miller denied the sexual assault allegations.

She also accused Miller of taking the bulldog Gus had given her as a gift after they broke up.

In October 2021, Grisham, 46, wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post in which she claimed the Trumps “didn’t seem to care” when she told them her relationship with Miller had become “abusive.”

Miller subsequently filed a defamation lawsuit against Grisham in 2021, which has since been dismissed “with prejudice” and the case went to a jury.

Fabulist liar and disgraced Rep. George Santos last year called Miller a “wife beater.”

“You are a fraud, sir,” Miller said of Santos in the House of Representatives, infuriating him.

Santos fired back: ‘My colleague wants to come here and call me a crook. The same colleague who is accused of abusing women. Are we really going to ignore the facts that we all have a past?’

Miller’s divorce case from Emily Moreno, first reviewed by DailyMail.com, was filed on August 27 and is filed under “Divorce-Children.”

According to the case file, Emily was served with a subpoena on Wednesday. She did not respond to requests for comment.

There is also a ‘mutual’ contact ban in effect between both parties.

Additionally, the judge originally assigned to the case, Tonya R. Jones, recused herself to avoid “improper conduct or conflict of interest.”

Reagan McCarthy, Bernie Moreno’s campaign communications director, told DailyMail.com: ‘Bernie is very sad about the way their marriage turned out, but it is a private family matter and he will not be commenting further.’

A spokesperson for Miller did not respond to a request for comment.

Miller and Moreno both grew up in the Cleveland area, he in the affluent suburb of Shaker Heights and she in Westlake.

Miller is the heir to the prominent real estate company Forest City Enterprises, and Moreno is the daughter of a luxury car dealer who ran for Senate but suspended his campaign in February after a meeting with Trump.

The couple met while working on Florida Senator Marco Rubio’s 2015 presidential campaign.

They dated briefly before breaking up when Miller left to work on Trump’s campaign and Moreno left to work for Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis. They rekindled their relationship when Moreno left Johnson to work for a public affairs firm in Washington, D.C.

Since then, Moreno has created a dating app for Trump supporters and worked on her father’s Senate campaign, appearing regularly with Miller during his campaign.

The wedding was attended by many right-wing political luminaries, including former acting director of national intelligence Ric Grenell, former Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway and even Trump himself.

An attendee at their wedding told DailyMail.com that Trump praised the groom in his speech.

Trump announced in his speech that he wants to bury the hatchet and express his support for one of his Republican opponents, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine.

“He told Max to let the governor know I was going to support him, but he lashed out at the Democratic candidate, who was mayor and was mean to him when he visited Ohio,” the guest said.

“He said to Max: let him know that I will support him fully.”

He gave no further details about his decision, but the move comes after DeWine secured the party’s nomination in May.

He defeated three opponents who had lined up to his right and were desperately courting Trump.

Although the former president avoided endorsing anyone, he made it clear that he held the sitting president in contempt.

Ten days before the primary, while campaigning for Republican candidates in Ohio, he railed against DeWine.

“No matter what happened, we had this horrible governor that you had. Horrible, horrible guy,” Trump said. “And he fought us.”

Trump had indicated he might support anyone challenging DeWine for the nomination after the Ohio governor recognized Biden as president-elect a week after the results were announced.

“Who will run for governor of the great state of Ohio? It’s going to be a close call!” he tweeted.

And after January 6, DeWine said it was time to move on.

“Joe Biden has been elected president of the United States and will be sworn in in two weeks,” he said.

Before the election, he even encouraged conducting the election almost entirely by mail, while Trump expressed concerns about mail-in ballot fraud.

To many Trump supporters, that has made him the ultimate RINO — a Republican in name only.

The wedding guest said the former president was in good form Saturday night, although he declined invitations to dance.
