Ex-presidential candidate brands Yankees’ Aaron Boone and Brian Cashman ‘relentless losers’ in brutal verdict
The New York Yankees have been brutally criticized by a former candidate for president of the United States after a dramatic collapse in Game 5 of the World Series.
Ralph Nader – a former Green Party, Reform Party and independent candidate for president – posted his thoughts on the team after they let a victory slip through their fingers with a number of errors in the fifth inning of the game.
With the victory in Game 5, the Dodgers won the World Series for the second time in five years.
“The Yankees collapse in last night’s fifth game of the World Series was a long time coming,” Nader wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
“The Yankees have been poorly or mismanaged since their last World Series in 2009. Because they are flush with money, they make the wrong choices when buying athletes from other teams.
‘They have seriously weakened their agricultural system and the owner, [Hal] Steinbrenner is not as ambitious for a winning team because he is still making a lot of profit.
“Yankee General Manager Brian Cashman and Yankee team manager Aaron Boone are ruthless losers. Yankee fans should demand their replacement. The only thing going up at Yankee Stadium is the awards, not the World Series wins.”
