Former Premier League star Greg Halford ‘throws ‘ex-cheat’ belongings out window’ in bizarre social media video

  • The former professional soccer player, 38, posted the video on Twitter on Saturday.
  • The footage shows him throwing shoe boxes out of the window on the top floor of his house.
  • Fans and former teammates were supportive, although some saw the funny side

Former Premier League footballer Greg Halford posted a video purporting to show his ex’s belongings being thrown out of a window after claiming she cheated on him.

The strange recording was aware on the 38-year-old’s Twitter page on Saturday night, accompanied by the caption: “Been away from [sic] long, but finally clearing up the tricky c**t ex’ stuff.

It shows boxes thrown from the top-story window of his home, landing in a pile next to a boy’s BMX bike below in an apparent act of revenge against his unidentified ex-partner.

However, there is a mystery surrounding the origins of the boxes, which appear empty and are adorned with logos from brands such as 350 (Yeezy) and Nike.

Taking to social media, the advocate has previously spoken of his love for the Yeezy brand, calling them ‘beautiful’ and describing himself as ‘mildly addicted’ to them while posting photos of his shoes and the boxes they come in.

The footballer was supported on social networks by fans and former teammates.

His former colleague Craig Fagan, who played with him at Colchester United, tweeted: “Hope all is well mate.”

Leanne Stevens tweeted: “Good on you Greg stay positive.”

In the video, a large pile of what appear to be shoe boxes can be seen on the ground outside the front of the house.

The boxes, which appear to be empty, sit next to a boy’s BMX bike sitting on the front lawn.

Hashtag Tony added: ‘Sorry to hear that, Greg. Keep your head up.’

Aaron Farrow wrote: ‘Good for you Greg, you don’t need people like that in your life. I hope you are well mate.

Others saw the funny side, with Reece Poole quipping “you’ve still got a good pitch on Greg”, a reference to his long throw-ins while on the pitch.

Gez Campbell-Smith quipped: “Based on how I’ve watched you play, I’m surprised you didn’t cut them half a dozen outfields away.”

And Mark (@younglion1989) added: “Looks like Evri finally delivered his packages.”

The footballer’s fans and former teammates took to Twitter to express their support, while also looking on the funny side.

The defender, who has played for 19 clubs in his 20-year career, currently plies his trade with Essex-based semi-pro club Hashtag United.

His previous clubs include Reading, Sunderland, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Portsmouth, Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City.

He was known for his versatility on the pitch, as he spent time playing as a right midfielder, central midfielder, right back, and on occasion an emergency center forward.
