Horrifying footage has emerged showing the aftermath of a serious car crash involving Gillingham players on a scenic suburban road.

A luxury BMW sports saloon was found to be badly damaged when it landed on the tarmac in front of a driveway with debris covering the road.

It appears that the car was involved in a severe collision with a wall that took the brunt of stress, dislodging huge chunks of brick and stone.

Another car, a black Lexus SUV parked in the driveway, can be seen with pieces of the wall over the roof as the BMW is parked in front.

The airbags of the German sedan were deployed during the accident, while police were also present at the scene of the accident, which is said to be on a street with a school.

The incident took place Thursday morning, with an onlooker saying the vehicle spun and went over the masonry before hitting a parked vehicle, as reported by Kent Online.

The Gillingham players believed to be involved in the crash are former Crystal Palace and Wales star Jonny Williams, along with Timothee Dieng, Macauley Bonne and George Lapsie.

Gillingham declined to comment on the incident when approached by Mail Sport.

‘The players were picked up by colleagues in other cars and then the driver (of the BMW) waited.

“The police were there waiting for salvage, but it seems that the car has now been recovered.

“It looks like a lot of damage has been done. The neighbors are shocked. The man who lived there opened his curtains when it happened so that he could see it.

‘There’s a school on this road. Fortunately it’s school holidays, otherwise people could have been injured.’
