Ex-NFL player’s son remains ‘missing and endangered’ after two weeks as Indiana police reveal allegations of abuse against ‘uncooperative’ parents
Indiana State Police have issued a Silver Alert for the missing son of a former NFL player, who is believed to be in grave danger following allegations of parental abuse.
Byrson Muir, the 14-year-old son of retired Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Daniel Muir, was last seen leaving a relative’s home in Ohio two weeks ago, according to Indiana State Police, who now say parents Daniel and Kristen are uncooperative.
“Earlier today, Daniel and Kristen Muir arranged to take their 14-year-old son Bryson to the Peru Post to meet with ISP investigators,” Indiana State Police said in a news release.
“It was agreed that they would meet at 12:00. At about 11:00, the Muirs withdrew from that appointment, indicating that they did not want to cooperate.”
Police warned that the investigation is ongoing and urged anyone with information to call Peru Post at 800-382-0689.

Described as a 6-foot-1, 185-pound black chainmail man with black hair and brown eyes, Bryson was last seen with a bruise around his eye, as shown in a photo shared by police. The child’s grandmother recently reported the black eye to police, telling officers her grandson may have been the victim of abuse at the hands of his parents.
According to police, Bryson was seen leaving a relative’s home in suburban Cleveland on June 16 in his mother, Kirsten’s, white 2015 Chevrolet Suburban. The car, which Kirsten was reportedly driving, belongs to a Kokomo, Indiana-based organization known as the Servant Leader’s Foundation.
However, when that vehicle was stopped by police in Garfield Heights shortly after leaving the home, Bryson was no longer in the vehicle.

Two days later, the Cass County Department of Child Services called the Indiana State Police to investigate allegations of domestic violence against Bryson at the Muir family home in Logansport, Indiana.
According to the Indiana State Police, the property, like the car, is owned by the Servant Leader’s Foundation.
DailyMail.com’s attempts to contact the Muir family and the Servant Leader’s Foundation have been unsuccessful.
Daniel, 40, is originally from Washington DC and played at Kent State before going undrafted in 2007. He eventually signed with the Green Bay Packers, after which he played three seasons with the Colts and part of the 2012 season with the New York Jets.
