Ex-NFL player reacts to Fernando Carmona’s disgusting ankle stomp as fans demand Razorbacks lineman is banned
Former NFL player Emmanuel Acho has called Fernando Carmona ‘trash’ after he deliberately stomped a defenseless rival’s ankle.
Furious college football fans took to social media this weekend to call for Carmona to be banned for life after a shocking foul play in the Arkansas Razorbacks’ 39-26 victory over Texas Tech in Friday’s Liberty Bowl.
The footage was captured as players from both teams tried to get back to their feet after a six-yard rush by Braylen Russell as Carmona, a team captain, stood above the pile.
Texas Tech player CJ Baskerville could be seen lying on the ground, apparently still on the ground after a tackle.
At that moment, Carmona purposefully stomped on Baskerville’s ankle, pushing all his weight onto his opponent’s leg.
The act sparked outrage online with Baskerville and fans calling out Carmona for the disgusting act.
