The wife and daughter of former mob boss John Gotti Jr. were arrested for allegedly punching a woman in the face and pulling off her wig during a basketball game after the victim asked them to stop shouting profanities at players.
Gianna Gotti, 23, and Kimberly Gotti, 55, were taken into custody at Locust Valley High School in Long Island, New York, on Thursday evening around 8:12 p.m.
Both were charged Friday morning in Nassau County District Court with third-degree assault with intent to cause bodily harm to another person. They pleaded not guilty and were released.
The mother-daughter duo is accused of punching the victim in the face multiple times with a closed fist.
The victim suffered significant pain to her scalp and scratches on both sides of her face, according to court documents obtained by DailyMail.com.

‘I asked the two subjects to stop calling the children ‘f***** and p***. At that moment the unknown female in gray ran towards me. The woman hit me and tried to take my hat.
‘An unknown younger woman wearing a red jacket also started hitting me. Both unknown females continued to hit me,” she said.
‘At that moment I felt my hair being pulled and then I felt the wig come loose, which was held in place by three clips and Velcro.
“I let my head go back and felt like my scalp was going to be ripped off.”
The woman said the women continued to throw punches at her, and she suffered severe pain from the incident in which her wig was pulled off. She also had scratches on her face.

After they left the courthouse, John Gotti Jr. gave a thumbs up as he walked next to his daughter.
Gotti’s mother and daughter will appear in court again on March 6.
