Recently released goalkeeper Nick Marsman is back in training, the only surprise being with the club that sent him out.

Marsman was part of the Inter Miami-roster until last week. While unconfirmed, many suspect his departure follows comments he made in June.

The shotstopper suggested David Beckham’s club were not equipped to sign a player of Messi’s quality at the moment.

“Personally, I don’t think this club is ready for the arrival of Messi,” Marsman told ESPN. ‘We have a temporary stadium, people can just go onto the field, there are no fences.

“We also leave for the stadium without security. I think they are not ready. But I hope he comes.’
