Ex-ESPN host Sage Steele joins Donald Trump’s family and former racing driver Danica Patrick on campaign trail ahead of Presidential election

Sage Steele’s political views have been part of her brand since her initial suspension from ESPN in 2021. Now, the former SportsCenter host has joined Danica Patrick on the campaign trail for Donald Trump.

Patrick and Steele were pictured together wearing pink “Women for Trump” shirts as they made political stops in Georgia.

The sports couple also took photos with Lara Trump, Tulsi Gabbard and others in between campaign events at a local donut shop.

Steele’s conservative views have unsurprisingly led her to support Trump, as her ESPN suspension was partially due to her comments about former President Barack Obama.

During a podcast appearance with Jay Cutler, Steele said she didn’t like Obama calling himself black because, like her, he has a white mother.

Steele ultimately left ESPN last year after settling a lawsuit against the company, claiming it censored her freedom of speech.

“If we truly love this country, we can no longer afford to live in fear,” Steele said on social media Thursday. “Time to do what’s right for all Americans. Facts over feelings. Policy over personality. It really is that simple.’

“Great spending time with @laraleatrump, some of the many supporters and volunteers for the Trump 47 campaign in Atlanta.”

For years, Patrick has been as blunt in the political arena as her new best friend Steele.

The motorsport legend’s endorsement of Trump came weeks ago, with an exclamation point to American critics: ‘You can leave if you want.”

Over the course of her NASCAR career – and beyond – Patrick, 42, has had a number of high-profile relationships.

She dated fellow NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. from 2012 to 2017. That was entirely while the pair were on separate teams. After Stenhouse, she dated then Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers for a period of two years.
