Ex-Deputy CIA Director calling Hunter’s laptop disinformation is DEPOSED

Ex-deputy CIA director who was one of 51 intelligence chiefs who cited Hunter’s laptop disinformation is OMPOSED by Republicans investigating attempts to discredit salacious reports about the president’s son

  • Ex-Deputy CIA Director Michael Morell signed an October 2020 warning letter on the Hunter laptop with “classic features of a Russian intelligence operation”
  • House Republicans say the letter was a ‘joint effort’ to discredit incriminating information on Hunter’s laptop

The House subcommittee investigating the federal government’s “armaments” is seeking testimony from a signer of the letter warning that emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop had “classic features” of a Russian disinformation operation.

The Weaponization of the Federal Government panel, a subcommittee under House Judiciary, will impeach ex-CIA Deputy Director Michael Morell on Tuesday. a source told the Washington Examiner.

Republicans have warned that the October 2020 letter from 51 former intelligence officials is an attempt to discredit reports that Hunter Biden was seeking to use his father’s influence as vice president at the time to enrich himself and his family through foreign business deals to enter.

Judiciary and Armaments Chairman Jim Jordan first requested Morell appear in April for a transcribed interview — when he was a senior member of the Judiciary Commission.

He repeated that request in February from the position of chairman.

Ex-Deputy CIA Director Michael Morell (pictured) was one of 51 former intelligence officials who wrote a letter in October 2020 warning that the emails on Hunter Biden’s laptop had “classic features of a Russian intelligence operation.”

“At best, the public statement was a reckless attempt by you and your cosigners to falsely state your views on alleged election interference,” Jordan said in his first letter requesting testimony.

The Ohio Republican added, “At worst — and more likely — the public statement was a deliberate and coordinated attempt to mislead the American people about information pertinent to the 2020 presidential election by invoking your national security experience to falsely suggesting that the allegations about Hunter Biden were in fact unfounded.’

Morell and his 50 co-signers said the correspondence on the president’s son’s laptop had “classic features of a Russian intelligence operation.”

Hunter is under criminal investigation by the Justice Department for his tax affairs and under investigation by multiple House committees.

In the days leading up to the 2020 presidential election, the New York Post released a report detailing the first bits of hard drive left behind at a Delaware computer repair shop.

Several media outlets, including DailyMail.com, have since confirmed the contents of the laptop and that it belonged to Hunter Biden.

Hunter’s attorneys have contacted federal and state law enforcement agencies asking for an investigation into those responsible for distributing the contents of the laptop, including laptop repair shop owner John Paul Mac Isaac.

Jordan and other House Republicans believe the claims made in the letter signed by Morell were a “joint effort” to discredit the damning information on Hunter’s laptop

Abbe Lowell, one of Biden’s lawyers, said in February that the letters demanding an investigation “do not confirm” that the laptop belongs to their client.

House Republicans allege that President Biden’s son engaged in “influence peddling” abroad during his father’s time as vice president.

They say Morell and the other ex-intelligence officials sent the letter in a “joint effort” to discredit these claims and the New York Times report.
