The 59-year-old Mcinnes, best known as boss of David Jones, resigned from his position as CEO at the retail giant in 2011. He now works at the private investment company BBRC.

News of the sale comes after the Herald Sun reported that McInnes has bought another large house for a whopping $36 million.
