Former NBA security guard Ben Gordon has been arrested after a Chicago McDonald’s guard was punched in the face, police said.

Gordon, 39, was charged with a crime that caused bodily harm and that the battery made physical contact Chicago Tribune reported on Saturday.

Gordon, who played for four teams during his NBA career, was arrested around 3:30 a.m. Friday when police responded to a report of a disturbance by a man being escorted from McDonald’s.

A 29-year-old man was hit in the face and thrown to the ground. A 21-year-old man was pushed and also thrown to the ground. Both men refused medical attention.

Police said Gordon was arrested on the spot.

Gordon was charged last month with assault, resisting arrest, contempt and endangering children in New York for allegedly beating his young son at LaGuardia Airport.

According to the Queens District Attorney’s office, witnesses, including an American Airlines employee, saw Gordon yell at his son and punch him in the face multiple times after the boy dropped a book on the floor.

Gordon later confirmed to police that it was his son. Gordon is also said to have attacked officers when they tried to handcuff him and put him in a patrol car.

Joshua Kirshner, a lawyer representing Gordon, said the son is 10 or 11 years old.

He was arrested Oct. 10 at LaGuardia Airport after six witnesses claimed he repeatedly punched his son Elijah in the face after dropping a book.

The former Chicago Bulls player was arrested after an American Airlines employee witnessed the alleged assault on his son, who he shares with ex-fiancée Sascha Smith, 32.

Gordon appeared in court on October 14 for a brief hearing in connection with the attack

He was traveling to Chicago with his son when the woman saw him beating and screaming at the boy around 8:54 p.m., with Gordon reportedly resisting his arrest.

The former shooting guard allegedly hit Elia with a “clenched fist, hitting the victim in the face,” according to a police complaint.

Gordon appeared in court on October 14 for a brief hearing related to the attack, which was postponed to December.

Gordon, who played collegiately at the University of Connecticut, was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in 2004 and played 11 seasons in the NBA with Chicago, Detroit, Charlotte and Orlando, most recently in the 2014-15 season with the Magic.

His best season was 2006-07, when he averaged 21.4 points and 3.6 assists for the Bulls.
