Ex-Bills star sued by woman for ‘knowingly giving her herpes’… after his pregnant fiancee warned her

Former Buffalo Bills star Eric Molds is being sued by a Western New York woman after she claims he “knowingly gave her herpes.”

The woman, who is named in the lawsuit but not publicly, claims that Molds “knew or should have known that he had a sexually transmitted disease” before they began a sexual relationship, and that he did not disclose such information.

The Western New York woman also claims in the lawsuit that it was Moulds’ pregnant fiancée who contacted her and told her she needed to get tested for sexually transmitted diseases, including herpes.

The woman has since tested positive for the herpes simplex virus type 2.

Social media has also played an alleged role in this lawsuit, with the woman claiming she heard from others who claimed to have gotten STDs from Molds.

None of these women have come forward, nor has the number of other alleged women Mold was involved with been revealed.

Molds played for the Bills from 1997 through 2005 and made three Pro Bowl appearances

Mold’s attorney, Frank LoTempo III, told the Buffalo News that “all allegations in the lawsuit are false.”

LoTempo stated that he was contacted by the woman’s attorney, Kevin Stocker, but Molds has yet to be served with the lawsuit.

“I will respond as soon as we are properly served and defend this, probably to the point of a lawsuit,” LoTempio said.

The lawsuit states that the Western New York woman and Molds first started talking in 2018 when the now 51-year-old former wide receiver messaged her on Instagram.

The two occasionally exchanged messages, according to the lawsuit, with the pair entering a long-term relationship last January.

The lawsuit alleges that Molds and the woman last had sexual contact 13 months ago in November 2023, with the woman testing positive for herpes in December 2023 after experiencing symptoms after not having other sexual partners.

Molds is a three-time Pro Bowler who played for the Bills from 1997 to 2005, and he was also a member of the franchise’s 50th anniversary team.

After leaving Buffalo, he was also on the rosters of the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans before being released at the end of the 2007 season and would not play for another team again.
