Former White House press secretary Jen Pskai has no problem with President Joe Biden’s apparent disinterest in holding press conferences, saying he should instead entertain the ladies of The View.
Biden has given just 89 interviews and three news conferences in his first three years in office, a notable decline from former President Donald Trump’s first three years, where he gave 300 interviews and 54 news conferences.
The current president has turned to alternative media lately, appearing on The Howard Stern Show and the popular Smartless podcast.
Psaki himself appeared on the daily ABC gabfest and asked how Biden should balance the demands of the press as he heads into another presidential campaign.
“The advantage of the media environment right now — there are a lot of challenges, but I’m going to start with the optimistic side — is that there are so many choices,” Psaki said, praising Biden’s performances with Stern on Smartless co-hosts. Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes.

“When you’re communicating from the White House, I mean respect for freedom of speech and freedom of the press is important, but you’re also just really trying to communicate with the American people, right? So my opinion is that he should come on ‘The View’ before he does a press conference,” she continued.
