The US-based actress and producer acknowledged that having a famous father comes with its perks.
Although the Scottish-born Trainspotting and Star Wars actor kept her out of the spotlight when she was younger, Clara now makes her money from the same industry her father’s name is known for.
She said: ‘What comes with that is a huge amount of privilege. I grew up with privileged wealth, but also with my father’s celebrity privilege. So when people say, ‘Is it hard to have a famous dad?’, I say, ‘Oh no, it’s not.’
‘I love my father, I never wanted to distance myself from that. When it comes to the whole nepo baby thing, I get it. I understand the frustration. I’ve had many more opportunities because of who he is. That cannot be denied.
“I think a lot of things are made easier because you have a famous parent.
“I love acting, I love being on a movie set and growing up around it I fell in love with it. All I want is to be very good at what I do and keep getting better.’
