Donald Trump is expected to sit down with podcaster Joe Rogan on Friday in a highly anticipated wide-ranging interview with 11 days until the election. And considering the pair’s inflammatory comments about each other in the past, there will undoubtedly be fireworks.
Trump has made the rounds in the final weeks of the campaign with several prominent podcasters, but none are as influential as Rogan, who attracts more than 14 million listeners on Spotify alone and 17.5 million subscribers on YouTube.
Earlier this week, a campaign source confirmed to DailyMail.com that the highly anticipated interview will be recorded at Rogan’s studio in Austin, Texas.
Rogan is known for giving hours-long interviews and prodding guests on hot political, cultural, and sometimes niche topics — think aliens or taking acid.
The taping of Friday’s interview will be particularly compelling, as the couple has a complicated history.
Trump has been trading places with the popular podcaster for years, who once called the ex-president a “threat to democracy.”

Rogan also said in 2022 that he didn’t want Trump on his show because it could affect the outcome of the election.
“I am in no way a Trump supporter,” Rogan said at the time. “I don’t want to help him, I’m not interested in helping him.”
In August, Rogan faced backlash from his MAGA followers after apparently targeting RFK Jr. about Trump had supported.
While talking to a guest about the current state of the race, the host complained about the way politicians manipulate their voters.
‘That’s exactly what they do. That’s politics,” he said. “They do it on the left, they do it on the right.”
“They gaslight you, they manipulate you, they push stories, and the only one who doesn’t do that is Robert F. Kennedy Jr.,” he continued.
Trump’s loyal supporters saw this as an expression of support for the independent presidential candidate.
And Trump fired back at Rogan on Truth Social: “It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan is booed the next time he enters the UFC Ring.”
Rogan was subsequently forced to retract his comments, insisting they were not an endorsement of Kennedy.
However, the duo’s relationship hasn’t always been sour.
The podcaster – who also serves as a UFC commentator – praised the former president after Trump attended a fight at Madison Square Garden in New York last November.

“He walks out of Maddison Square Garden, it was bananas,” the UFC host said of Trump’s strike. “The whole room cheered.”
He likened the strike along with UFC CEO Dana White, Kid Rock and Tucker Carlson as the “right-wing Avengers.”
“The cheering from the crowd was crazy, it was mostly in support of him,” Rogan added. “It lasted a long time, it was a roar.”
Rogan’s show draws a huge audience and could prove to be a clever tool for the former president to get his message across.
On Spotify, the show has 14.5 million subscribers and on YouTube, Rogan has 17.5 million.
This huge audience is also getting younger, with a YouGov analysis This shows that more than 56 percent of listeners are between 18 and 34 years old.
These young listeners form a valuable voting bloc in these elections, which both candidates are fighting over.
The appearance is a new installment in the ex-president’s “bro” podcast blitz. He recently appeared on Nelk Boys’ Full Send show, Patrick Bet-David’s podcast and spoke with comedian Theo Von.
He too appeared with livestreamer Adin Rossof whom his son Barron is a fan.
The alternative media heavy strategy is likely intended to spread Trump’s message to a younger male audience just before Election Day.

Rumors have been circulating for days about whether the former president would actually appear on the program.
The reports came just as Democratic nominee Kamala Harris’ team was also planning an appearance.
But Thursday night, Harris’ team suddenly said she wouldn’t be on Rogan’s show.
‘We spoke with Rogan and his team about the podcast. Unfortunately, it’s not going to happen at this time because of the scheduling of this period of the campaign,” Harris spokesman Ian Sams said on MSNBC.
Although Trump and Rogan are filming on Friday, the release date for the highly anticipated installment is still unclear.
Spotify, which hosts the show, has not yet announced when the episode will air.
