Everything you need to know about Boohoo’s Forbidden Forest festival

Forbidden Forest festival has announced the line-up for the eighth edition, which kicks off the festival season.

The Boohoo-sponsored event will once again be hosted in the grounds of the beautiful Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire.

Festivalgoers can expect the best of the best talent in house, techno and d’n’b, with the biggest lineup to date – and it’s not too late to secure your spot.

Here’s everything you need to know about the three-day event.

When is the Forbidden Forest Festival?

Forbidden Forest festival, held at Belvoir Castle, Grantham, takes place over three enchanting days from 2nd June to 4th June.

Doors open at noon every day and the stages begin to close at 10:30 pm, with the entire festival closing at midnight.

Who are the main music acts?

50 talented performers will be spread across five stages, including the bunker, the mansion and the reactor that will be located in the forest.

Those attending Forbidden Forest this year can expect performances from a wide range of artists, including big names like Camelphat and Example.

They are joined by top DJs such as MK, Nathan Dawe, Ancy C and Patrick Topping.

Tech house DJs such as Michael Bibi, Solardo, Hannah Wants, Ben Hemsley and Denis Sulta are sure to get the crowd dancing this weekend.

Where can I get tickets?

Camping weekend tickets are currently on sale for £160.50, while non-camping weekend tickets are £110.50.

Tickets for Saturday and Sunday are still on sale and cost £60.50. They can be purchased here.

How to travel to the music festival

The official travel partner, Big Green Coach, offers a carbon neutral bus service to and from the festival site from £10.

Pick-up locations are Birmingham, Coventry, Derby, Doncaster, Hull, Leeds, Leicester, Lincoln, Liverpool, London, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Nottingham, Peterborough, Sheffield, Stoke-on-Trent and Wolverhampton.

Shuttle buses will also run from Grantham station to the festival site.

Parking tickets can be purchased in advance from £15 for the day or from £25 for the weekend.

About the Forbidden Forest festival

Each day of the festival ends with a silent disco, which starts at 10pm and ends at 3am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

A spokesperson for the organizers said: ‘Forbidden Fridays will never be the same again, with organizers revealing that for 2023 the Forest will open two live stages in the main arena on Friday nights.

‘Complete with full production and great lineups from world renowned party brand Glitterbox and renowned record label Defected, one of the longest running independent labels of its kind, setting the standard for house music in the UK.

“This is the first time there will be live music on a Friday night alongside the Forbidden Silent Disco – both exclusively for campers.”

According to the organisers, fans who visited the Forbidden Forest at Belvoir Castle last year described it as a ‘unique raving experience with a great atmosphere’.
