Everyone’s saying the same thing after Donald Trump’s bizarre microphone moment

Social media users have reacted after a bizarre clip emerged of Donald Trump having his microphone cut out during a rally.

The Republican presidential candidate had sound problems during a speech at a campaign event in Milwaukee on Friday evening.

Trump opted to use a handheld microphone instead and Trump was seen yanking on the microphone on his stand before beginning to put his mouth around it.

Social media X has since erupted with a wave of reactions to the widely shared images.

One person commented on the short clip, which has been viewed more than 14 million times: “Doesn’t look like his first time either.”

Another commented: ‘There is something seriously wrong with this person. He is willing to do or say ANYTHING to get some applause from his sycophantic cult.”

Ann Navarro of The View agreed with the clip, saying, “Ask yourself: What would happen if Kamala Harris did this?

‘Yes. You saw it well. This is Trump on stage at a rally, pretending to perform a sex act through a microphone.

‘This is not normal. Trump is disgusting, unhinged and unfit to represent the United States. Vote him out.’

The crowd gathered at the event began cheering the former president as they could not hear him minutes into his speech.

He went on to talk about his equipment, saying, “The microphone is terrible… I think this microphone stinks.”

Ten minutes later he was fiddling with the equipment again: “I’ve never held a microphone up that long in my goddamn life.”

Later, when the sound went out again, he jokingly threatened to beat up the equipment staff.

“Do you want to see me beat the shit out of people backstage? I’m getting so angry, I’m standing here seething. I’m working really hard on this stupid microphone.’

It was his last rally in Wisconsin, where Kamala Harris, across town, held a rally with rappers Cardi B and GloRilla.

Similarly, Cardi B also suffered a technical mishap when the teleprompter she was reading disabled her.

The Grammy winner was paused when the teleprompter suddenly experienced a technical glitch.

For about a minute, she stood on stage wondering how to respond as the crowd cheered.

The rapper was forced to read her endorsement for Harris on her phone and said she wasn’t “going to vote” until the VP entered the race.

Milwaukee is home to most of Wisconsin’s Democratic votes, but its conservative suburbs are where most Republicans live and are a crucial area for Trump as he tries to win back the state he narrowly won in 2016 and lost in 2020.

One reason for his defeat was a decline in support in Milwaukee’s suburbs and an increase in the number of Democratic votes in the city.

“I wasn’t going to vote this year,” Cardi Baid said, before adding that Ms. Harris took over when the Democratic nominee changed her mind.

“She is passionate, compassionate… and most of all, she is not delusional,” she said.

She called Donald Trump a “bully,” adding, “He said he’s going to protect women whether they like it or not.

“If his definition of protection isn’t freedom of choice… then I don’t want it. I’m not giving Donald Trump a second chance.’

Four of the past six presidential elections in Wisconsin were decided by less than one point, or fewer than 23,000 votes.

It was absentee ballots from Milwaukee, typically reported early in the morning after Election Day, that gave Wisconsin to President Joe Biden in 2020.

Harris urged everyone in Wisconsin to vote, calling out young first-time Gen-Z voters.

“I love Gen-Z,” she said, laughing. ‘This is what I love about you guys. You are rightly impatient when it comes to change. I love that about you!’
