Everyone is saying the same thing
I love my home-cooked work lunches which help me save money, but they all say the same thing
A woman caused confusion after sharing a photo of her work lunch, which she said is super tasty and also helps save money.
Post on social media platform reddit, the aspiring chef in the US revealed exactly what she would be eating that day, but many couldn’t help but question some of the ingredients.
She wrote, “My little lunch I took to work on Friday, love my little Pusheen lunch box,” alongside a photo of salad, olives and tomatoes, with a slice of pineapple on top.
In the other compartments he stuffed pita bread chunks and hummus with another slice of pineapple on top.
Many people in the comments were surprised by adding fruit to a tasty sauce and were quick to ask the original author (OP) what was going on.
A Reddit user caused confusion by adding a rather unusual ingredient to her salad and hummus. Can you guess what it is?
The woman was delighted that she could use her cute bento lunch box to store food, which she said had also helped save money, as well as being delicious.
One user asked: ‘Why is there a pineapple slice in your hummus?’
“Neither pineapple hummus nor pineapple hummus seem very tasty to me,” added another.
Taking it all in stride, the poster responded to questions and explained the situation, writing that she couldn’t close the stackable box with the two pineapple slices.
“I was running late, so I dumped it on top of the hummus,” she explained. ‘Yeah, it’s a bit messy lol, but I’m on a budget so I try to make do with what I already have. I’m just starting out so it’s a bit random.
When asked again about the pineapple, he replied, “It was removed and the hummus came out nice as some kind of salad dressing I guess.” He ended up delicious.
His Reddit peers had strong opinions about his lunch, particularly after he added pineapple to his hummus, but he assured them it was delicious.
The controversial combination quickly sparked a debate with not everyone disliking the idea of hummus and pineapple.
One person commented, “The lemon hummus is delicious, I can see perfectly well that the pineapple hummus is a very happy accident.”
Another user responded: “Oh, I definitely love lemon hummus, but don’t add pineapple hummus to it.”
While another pineapple fan added: ‘No, people hate pineapple socially, but it has a great citrus aspect and a sweetness that ties it all together. I haven’t tried it, but I’m excited to have it, hummus and pineapple.
Someone else agreed, commenting, “I think pineapple is such a great idea for a salad that I don’t know why I’ve never thought of it.” I need to try it myself.
Giving a final review on lunch, the OP posted his thoughts.
She wrote: ‘It was good! I have a hard time eating fruits because I don’t like many, but I love pineapple. Yo
‘I thought it wouldn’t go well with tomato but I liked it.’
If you’re a fan of pineapple on pizza, or pineapple on anything, this might be for you!
