Every major announcement from PlayStation’s new State of Play

Sony’s latest State of Play livestream was packed with game announcements and updates for all things PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR 2. PlayStation fans got a look at several new remasters, including updated versions of Horizon Zero Dawn and a couple of Soul Reaver games. But there was also some new content, including a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima and tons of DLC for already released PlayStation favorites.

If you weren’t able to watch Sony’s September State of Play showcase live, here’s a recap of all the game announcements, release dates, trailers, and other highlights from Sony’s stream.

Sony and Sucker Punch have revealed the sequel to the 2020’s Ghost of Tsushimaa sequel with a new protagonist. From the game’s official description: “In 1603, a new Ghost named Atsu journeys into the lands surrounding Mount Yōtei, a region filled with vast grasslands, snowy tundra, and unexpected dangers.” Spirit of Yotei coming to PlayStation 5 sometime in 2025.

Three hundred collectible bots not enough for you? Good news, because the Astro bot collectathon continues with free downloadable content that will bring new VIP bots – from Stellar Blade And Helldivers 2 — to the nostalgia-laden platformer. Five new online speedrun levels are also coming with this fall’s free update.

Guerrilla Games’ 2017 open-world post-post-apocalyptic adventure, Horizon Zero Dawnis the latest PlayStation game to get a remaster for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC. Sony promises improved graphical fidelity and re-recorded dialogue. Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster comes out on October 31 — anyone who owns the original PS4 version can upgrade to the remastered version for $9.99.

Aloy’s original adventure is also reimagined in Lego form. Extremely stupid Lego form. Lego Horizon Adventures received a release date on State of Play, confirming the game’s launch on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC: the game will release on November 14th.

Capcom gave Monster Hunter fans an extensive new look at next year’s massive open-world sequel, Monster Hunter Wilds. But more importantly, we were given a release date: February 28, 2025. More from Monster Hunter Wilds will be shown later this week at Tokyo Game Show.

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force’s first mainline game in the historic hack-and-slash Dynasty Warriors franchise since 2018 now has a release date: January 17, 2025. Dynasty Warriors: Origins coming to PS5 in 2025, with versions also coming to Windows PC and Xbox Series X.

Coming soon to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2, The Midnight Walk is a dark fantasy adventure from the developers behind Lost in coincidenceAs the Burnt One, you’ll befriend a lost lantern creature named Potboy and use his flame to blaze your way through a world of wonder and terror, according to the game’s official description. The Midnight Walk coming to PS5 and PSVR2 in spring 2025.

Our first look at gameplay footage from Hell is ours shows the dark action-adventure game set in a war-torn country. Hell is ours coming to PS5 in 2025.

In, let’s say, fortunate timing, the Pokemon-with-guns game Palworld is now available on PlayStation 5.

Second add-on from Remedy for Alan Awake 2, The Lake Houseis coming to the psychological horror game in October. The second of two announced DLC expansions sends players to a mysterious facility on the shores of Cauldron Lake, where a government organization’s secret research goes awry.

Naughty Dog’s 2022 remaster of the original The last of us coming to the PlayStation Plus game catalog later this week.

One of the worst kept secrets of the year is the new Soul Reaver remastered collection from Crystal Dynamics and Aspyr. Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 and 2 remastered was officially announced at State of Play, showing off the visual upgrade Raziel will receive in December.

More Stellar Blade is coming, including a new photo mode. Developer Shift Up confirmed DLC for the game and a PC port of its sexy action game, with a Kidney: Automata collaboration will follow later this year.

Classic role-playing games Lunar: Silver Star story completed And Moon 2: Eternal Blue Complete coming to PlayStation in spring 2025 with enhanced graphics, audio, and quality of life improvements.

Dotemu and Tribute Games’ beat-’em-up is a throwback to the past Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge will be getting two more characters — Mona Lisa and Mondo Gecko — as part of the Radical reptiles DLC. A free update will also add new music from composers Tomoya Tomita, Keiji Yamagishi, Anamanaguchi, and more.

The virtual reality spin-off of the Metro series is coming to PlayStation VR2 on November 7, a new trailer for Metro awakening revealed.

The very cool role-playing game Mistwalker breaks free from the constraints of Apple Arcade later this year with the expanded Fantasy Neo DimensionThe RPG from Final Fantasy veterans Hironobu Sakaguchi and Nobuo Uematsu is coming to PS4 and PS5 on December 5.

Retro horror game Be afraid of the spotlight will be released in October for PlayStation 5, alongside the PC re-release, thanks to publisher Blumhouse Games.

ArcheAge Chronicles is brand new. The sequel to ArcheAge And ArcheAge: Unleashed takes place 50 years after the original online RPG. The new game will be coming to PS5 sometime in 2025.

BioWare’s latest Dragon Age game is almost here. During State of Play, we got an extended look at the new gameplay, featuring the VeilGuard battling a plagued dragon known as Corius the Icetalon. Dragon Age: The Veil Guard will be released on October 31 for PS5 and other platforms.

Towers of Aghasbathe action-adventure builder fantasy game, challenges players to rebuild their civilization and its ecosystem, while maintaining a balance between the two. The game will launch in early access this November.

IO Interactive Hitman coming to PlayStation VR 2 in December.

Make your PS5 even prettier with Sony’s new Chroma Collection, featuring Chroma Pearl, Chroma Indigo, and Chroma Teal color options for the DualSense controller and PS5 console cases. Pre-orders for the Chroma Collection begin on October 3, with Chroma Pearl and Chroma Indigo accessories launching on November 7. Chroma Teal gear will launch at a later date, on January 23, 2025.
