The latest Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool at Goodison Park has been canceled just four hours before kick-off due to chaos caused by Storm Darragh.
Everton said in a statement that the match, which was due to start at 12.30pm, had been postponed ‘due to adverse weather conditions’.
Storm Darragh is wreaking havoc across the country with winds of up to 150km per hour, causing travel chaos and damage and leaving thousands of people without power.
According to The Athletic, the decision to cancel the match was made by local authorities and not by the two clubs.
