Everton striker Tom Cannon will undergo medical treatment at Leicester after the two clubs agreed a deal worth around £7.5 million.
Cannon received offers from Norwich City and Preston North End, while Birmingham and Sheffield Wednesday also wanted the player on loan.
The 20-year-old made two Premier League appearances for the Toffees last season before spending the second half of the season on loan at Deepdale.
He has scored eight goals in 21 appearances in the Championship, and Foxes boss Enzo Maresca is hoping for a similar return if they want to return straight to the top.
The striker’s arrival at Leicester is likely to mean a striker will leave on deadline day.
