“There is no one who deserves this more than you,” it says. “You have exactly what it takes: the skill, the spirit, the patience, the work ethic.
“I’m so, so happy that the ‘you’ I’ve always known and believed in is recognized by everyone.
‘You were born to lead and I am sure that if you lead, the team will do exactly what is needed.
“Your patience and work ethic teach me + inspire me to be better. “Pride” doesn’t even scratch the surface. You are great.’
She then says, “I got some that night!”

She claimed that ‘it’s so important to be a strong woman’ when she started crying after exercising
‘You’re constantly fighting people who want to bring you down, it’s hard work and social media plays a big role in that.
‘It’s so dangerous and being a mother of a daughter makes me feel… I want to keep her away from that as much as possible. I want to make her feel stronger, and that was actually… I’m getting emotional, sorry, I don’t know why I’m crying.
‘When I had Ivy, I wanted even more to be a powerful woman who would show her that that is so important. I can’t talk, I’m sorry.
“It’s so important to be a strong woman, to know that what you look like is actually so small compared to who you are, and I think having a daughter has changed everything.”
Husband James, who made 71 appearances for Everton after joining from Burnley – where he spent more than six years – in 2022, agreed to support his partner.

“I don’t think Sam realizes how amazing she is both physically and internally,” he says in a scene outside the gym, with Samantha by his side.
“I think she’s opened her eyes to it a little more over the years, but I think initially when we first met she didn’t have any self-love or self-worth, but over time she realizes more and more.
“I’d like to think that people’s perception of me isn’t for me, but it is,” Sam says earlier in the series. ‘I want to be liked, I put a lot of pressure on myself in terms of fitness and body, because I want people to think: “Yes, she looks good, I would like to look like that”.
‘I’ve struggled with eating disorders, low self-esteem, poor body image for years, there’s still a part of me that still struggles with that. “I’m a woman in football, it’s hard work, it’s tough because all people want to do is bring you down.”
