Everton are hopeful Arnaut Danjuma will agree to join Villarreal on loan after the 25-year-old considered offers from various clubs.
Frank Lampard’s side sit 19th in the Premier League table and are set for another relegation fight this season, having only survived in the final week of last campaign.
Danjuma, who has been granted permission to leave the LaLiga club on loan until the end of the season, has attracted interest from a host of top-flight clubs including Everton’s relegation rivals Nottingham Forest.
