Everton fans notice a coach reveals ex-Man United defender is set to join

Eagle-eyed Everton fans note a coach reveals ex-Man United defender Jonny Evans is ‘coming in’ this summer during training video…before Instagram post is DELETE after it went viral

Everton fans are convinced Leicester City defender Jonny Evans will be their next signing after it appeared to be leaked in a training video.

In a video shared on Everton’s official Instagram page, it was pointed out that someone behind the camera was discussing the goings-on on Sean Dyche’s part.

Twitter user @ITalkEverton quickly downloaded and shared the video, convinced they had heard a new signing.

The tweet read, “Listen carefully… does anyone else hear, ‘We’ve got Jonny Evans coming in’?”

The post, which has been viewed more than 2.3 million times, quickly gained traction and the original video disappeared from Everton’s feed.

The video focused on James Tarkowski and Dwight McNeil in a head-to-head duel, but it was an off-camera voice that garnered all the attention.

Everton narrowly avoided relegation last season and Dyche, who is preparing for his first full campaign as manager at the club, is looking at experienced reinforcements to add leadership to the dressing room.

Evans, 35, is on a free transfer after his contract with Leicester City expired on June 30.

Dyche has already signed Ashley Young, former Aston Villa and Manchester United, on a one-year contract.

The England international started 23 games for Villa in the league last season as Unai Emery’s side finished seventh to secure a place in the UEFA Conference League.
