Evangeline Lilly gave an update on her friend and former co-star Jeremy Renner’s condition in a new interview published Tuesday.

Renner, 52, was hospitalized on New Year’s Day after he was accidentally run over by his snowplow, which weighs more than 14,000 pounds, though he appears to be making a miraculous recovery so far.
“I was in a wheelchair,” Evangeline clarified in her update, after previously sharing a photo of himself undergoing physical therapy in a hospital bed set up at his home in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

Evangeline recalled how she first met Renner when they were filming the 2008 war thriller The Hurt Locker, which won Best Picture and five other Oscars.
‘When we made that movie [The Hurt Locker], he was so young and full of enthusiasm, and I remember being so impressed by him. What’s so ironic is that at the time I was like a “celebrity appearance” on some level because I was on Lost, and I was like, “Who is this guy?”
