Eva Mendes wishes her mom a happy birthday with sweet tribute

Eva Mendes wished her mother a happy birthday on her Instagram on Wednesday.

The actress, 48, shared a sweet montage of snaps of her mother Eva Perez Suarez with a thoughtful caption.

“Feliz Cumpleanos Mami!” Eva wrote, meaning Happy Birthday Mommy! in Spanish, adding, “No post can ever come close to how I feel about you, so I’ll keep it light…I love you!”

The mother of two added, “Besitos!” which means kissing, ending with ‘Love, Mimi’ with a black heart.

Eva shared a video montage of photos of her and her mother over the years, including childhood photos.

The sweet click comes five months after Eva tearfully revealed that her mother was not well.

During a performance in May 2022 at the Today Show With Hoda & JennaEva got emotional after Hoda said she knew the actress wanted to wish her own mother a happy Mother’s Day.

Hoda then said that she also wanted to wish Eva’s mother a happy Mother’s Day on behalf of everyone on the Today show.

Eva got emotional and then said during her appearance, “She’s not doing very well at the moment, so it means a lot to me. She’s a survivor in every way, thank you.’

Eva lost her brother Juan Carlos Mendez on April 17, 2016 after his battle with cancer. He was 53.

Eva has two children with her partner Ryan Gosling, 41: daughters Esmeralda Amada, eight, and Amada Lee, six.

The handsome duo started dating in September 2011 after working together on the film The Place Beyond The Pines.

Ryan and Eva had been friends for “a long time” prior to their romantic relationship.
