Eva Mendes took to Instagram on Wednesday and Thursday to gush about her husband Ryan Gosling ahead of his Barbie movie debut.
In two back-to-back posts shared with her 4.3 million followers, the 49-year-old Hitch actress referenced Greta Gerwig’s recent Rolling stone interview, in which she praised Gosling.
In the post shared Thursday, the star uploaded throwback images from her and Ryan’s 2012 movie The Place Beyond The Pines.
She wrote: ‘Mi Hombre. Mi Vida… It’s an understatement to say he’s the best actor I’ve ever worked with.’
The mother-of-two added, “Gracias to the brilliant and beautiful Greta Gerwig,” as she included a quote about Ryan from the Barbie director’s RS profile.

In Thursday’s post, which previewed the upcoming film starring Margot Robbie as the titular character, Mendes shared her favorite quote from Gerwig.
“It’s a combination of MARLON BRANDO meets GENE WILDER meets JOHN BARRYMORE meets JOHN TRAVOLTA.” -Greta Gerwig,” she began the caption.
She then added, “One of my favorite things the insanely talented and beautiful GRETA GERWIG says in @rollingstone about Mi Hombre, Mi Vida, Mi Amor… RG.”
The Lost River star’s post garnered more than 63,000 likes from her fans and Ryan’s collective fans.
She used the same quote to post about one of the outtakes of their 2012 crime drama film, which depicted them as a struggling family of three.
Eva’s second post attracted more than 46,000 likes in just three hours after it was shared.
The two stars, who share daughters Esmeralda, 8, and Amada, 7, are known for keeping details about their relationship under wraps.
Earlier this year, Eva interacted with someone online who expressed wanting to catch a glimpse of the pair on the red carpet of an upcoming awards show.

The star also made sure to pre-emptively clarify that the duo have made one public appearance together.

In 2020, Eva wrote on Instagram, “I’ve always had a clear boundary when it comes to my husband and my kids. I will of course talk about it, with limitations, but I will not post pictures of our daily lives.’
During a recent interview with GK, Ryan discussed parenting with Mendes, and he said sweetly before meeting her, “I was looking for her, you know?” adding that “it all makes sense now.”

Gosling admitted that before I met his partner, “I wasn’t thinking about kids,” but “after I met Eva, I realized I just didn’t want to have kids without her.”
The La La Land star continued, “And there were times on The Place Beyond The Pines where we pretended to be a family, and I didn’t really want it to pretend anymore. I realized that this would be a life I would be very happy with.’
