Eva Mendes got candid about her beauty routine and how she maintains a radiant and flawless complexion at age 49.
On Monday, the Fast and Furious actress — who admitted she likes to wait for Ryan Gosling to get home — shared a peek at her spa day dedicated to skincare, revealing that she shaves her face.
On Tuesday, encouraged by the supportive comments, she shared some close-up photos of her skin and the process she’s going through.
‘Shave my face! I got a lot of comments on yesterday’s post from women who have been shaving their faces for years – okay I guess ‘dermaplaning’ is the preferred word, but it is what it is and I love it!’ she noted.
“Gracias for making my skin glow @marianalvergara,” she captioned the post.

The mother of Esmeralda, nine, and Amada, seven, with Gosling, 42, revealed she took up the practice of shaving the face known as dermaplaning.
She followed that up with her dermatologist’s Diamond Peel, then some oxygen and a sheet mask.
The Hitch star gets her treatments done at the Beauty Villa Vergara spa in Beverly Hills, California.
The Training Day actress responded to several comments asking her about the face shaving process, including one asking her how often she gets it done.
‘I’m a beast so I probably need every other day! Ha. My hair grows back when I get chills,” she noted. “I will literally shave my legs in the shower and get chills and all my work is undone!”
In another reply, she gushed about how good her skin feels after she shaves.
“Makeup and moisturizer go on much smoother. I’m hairy. My Cuban Papi is a man bear and I’m his mini me,” she joked.
The 2 Fast 2 Furious star has been with the Barbie actor since they met on the set of A Place Beyond the Pines in 2011.
The role served as a personal turning point for Gosling, and in an interview for it GK he admitted that he never considered having children before meeting Eva.

“I didn’t think about kids before I met her, but after I met Eva, I realized I just didn’t want to have kids without her,” he recalls.
“And there were times on The Place Beyond the Pines where we pretended to be a family, and I didn’t really want it to pretend anymore. I realized that this would be a life I would be very happy with.’
The couple’s first child, Esmeralda, was born in 2014, with Amada following two years later. Barbie returns to the silver screen for the first time in four years.
“I wanted to spend as much time with them as possible,” he explained to the outlet.
