Apple TV+ is creating Land of Woman, which is inspired by award-winning author Sandra Barneda’s novel of the same name.

The series announced that it will create six episodes and will be shot in both Spanish and English.

Eva will play Gala, a hollow New York nanny whose life is turned upside down when her husband implicates the family in financial improprieties, and she is forced to flee the city along with her elderly mother and college-age daughter.

The three women hide out in a wine town in Spain, after their husband disappears, while they escape from dangerous criminals to whom Gala’s husband owes a debt.

The Spanish city where the family fled, Gala’s mother had been there 50 years ago and vowed never to return.

Gossip begins to spread through the small town and the family’s secrets and truths begin to be revealed.
