In the footage, Jarvis repeatedly claims he is the one pulling the prank, which is very similar to the one he made on British TV.

Jarvis, who has 21 convictions including a prison sentence for various pranks, hid a phone in the BBC's Match of the Day studio less than a year ago.

He managed to get into Wolverhampton Wanderers' Molineux Stadium and taped a mobile phone to the furniture on set.

Jarvis then called the phone from his home, with the ringtone – sex noises – playing as Lineker introduced the live FA Cup match between Wolves and Liverpool to an audience of millions. Gary Lineker was presenting at the time, with Alan Shearer in the commentary box.

Looking back on the incident months later, Lineker and Shearer admitted they found the incident hilarious before revealing fears it had played out on one of their own phones.
