Euphoria star Angus Cloud’s family sued by bank amid claims late star owed $9000 – four months after his tragic death at 25 from accidental overdose

The family of late Euphoria star Angus Cloud is being sued by a bank over claims the actor was owed more than $9,000.

According to legal documents obtained by The explosion and filed by JP Morgan Chase Bank, Cloud, 25, who died of an accidental overdose on July 31, owed them $9,056.11 and they want to collect their payment from his estate.

The claim was filed by the bank on Monday, November 27, and served on Cloud's mother Lisa Cloud.

The legal documents state that the “deceased purchased goods and/or services totaling the amount owed.”

Lisa filed for control of Cloud's estate two months ago and asked to become sole executor of his estate because he died without a will.

Lisa estimates that his personal assets are worth about $1,000,000.

She writes in a court document: 'Angus Cloud was a young, successful actor, best known for his work in the HBO series Euphoria.

'After his death, he was involved in a number of agreements that require immediate supervision, management and enforcement

'Based on a review of a number of existing agreements, (Lisa) believes that Angus has transferred certain rights to (a lending company), including, but not limited to, certain intellectual property and/or name, image and likeness rights , as well as his right to income.'

It was noted that Cloud “had completed an acting job shortly before his death, but may not have signed all applicable agreements.” These require the immediate attention of the company and/or estate in order for the project to move forward with the required rights.”

This comes after Lisa opened up about the actor's final weeks before he died of an accidental overdose on July 31 at the age of 25.

Lisa spoke to People Monday about her son's death and how she found him in his nursery the morning he died.

The emotional interview came less than a week after officials with the Alameda County Coroner's Bureau Cloud ruled the actor's death an accidental overdose due to acute intoxication from the combined effects of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and benzodiazepines.

While at the family's home in Oakland, California, Lisa pointed to a desk in his room and told the outlet, “This is where my son died.”

“He loved his house and he loved this little, little room,” she said of Angus, who was with his family after father's death earlier this month.

She remembered finding him in the morning, falling down on his desk and trying to revive him.

“I started shaking him and screaming,” Lisa said. 'I pushed him hard and he fell to the ground. I tried to revive him – mouth to mouth – and I compressed him.

“I screamed for my neighbor because I didn't want to leave him and wanted to call 911, and I kept going until they took him away. I miss him so much. He was the love of my life.'

Lisa said Angus was 'deeply grieving' the death of his father Conor Hickey on May 18 at the age of 65.

She said Angus and twin sisters Molly and Fiona had traveled to Ireland in July to spread the ashes of Hickey, who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.

“They were all devastated,” she said of the actor and his siblings, adding that Angus “absolutely loved his father.

'He also knew that he really loved him. He was so proud of Angus. My son considered Pops his best friend. There is no doubt that his father's death took its toll.'

Angus had missed the funeral service because he was too high, his mother told the newspaper, but was able to spread his father's ashes near his grandparents' grave in Dublin.

Lisa said Angus was 'deeply grieving' the death of his father Conor Hickey (pictured) last May. On July 14, he posted a photo of his late father on Instagram with the caption “miss u breh”

“His heart overflowed with love to share, ran into the waves, his heart filled with the ocean,” Lisa said of her son. “His smile and laugh will live on with us forever.”

Cloud's mother said the actor suffered from frequent headaches and illness after the family returned to the US, adding that “there were deep problems.”

“He was not functioning and it was clear he was sad,” she said. “And if you're someone who turns to drugs, that would be the logical thing to do, and that's what he did.”

Lisa said Angus' father's death was “not to blame for his, but he clearly couldn't cope.”

Angus shared a post on Instagram on July 14 with an image of his father with the caption “miss u breh.”

Lisa said that “it was mainly the central nervous system depressants” that led to her son's death, as the medication “began to slow his heart and slow his breathing.”

“He got tired from lack of oxygen,” she added. 'Everything slowed down and eventually his heart stopped and he fell asleep. But he didn't commit suicide.'

Lisa continued, “He went with his total power, his total beauty, his total influence, and the reaction that everyone has had has been very moving to me.

His last post came on July 18 when he showed off a set of grillz from the company Grant Grillz, with the geotag coming from Dublin, Ireland

Cloud played the role of Fezco on the hit HBO series from 2019-2022

“You know, he's not just some actor who overdosed. He was a beautiful soul, and that's why people miss him so much.”

Cloud's uncle Kevin Cloud said Angus seemed to be in decent spirits the day before his death.

“We spent about four hours of his last afternoon together,” he said. 'It was an easy and happy time. He seemed extremely fit and healthy.'

Lisa said of her son: I always knew he was special and I'm so glad the world discovered he was special too. My son will always shine brightly.”

Angus' last Instagram post came on July 18 when he showed off a set of grillz from the company Grant Grillz, with the geotag originating from Dublin, Ireland.

Cloud had previously appeared in films such as 2023's The Line opposite John Malkovich, 2021's North Hollywood and in the TV series The Perfect Women.

He had also appeared in music videos for Becky G & Karol G's Mamii in 2022; and in Juice WRLD's Cigarettes in 2022.

At the time of his death, Cloud had a number of projects in the works, including two unreleased films iMDb, including a horror film titled Your Lucky Day and an Oakland-based drama titled Freaky Tales, starring Pedro Pascal and Ben Mendelsohn. He was also linked to Scream 6, scheduled for release next year.

Cloud had no acting experience prior to his role in Euphoria, as he was discovered by casting scout Eléonore Hendricks while walking through New York City, according to the AP.

Cloud was initially skeptical about the opportunity and thought it was a scam, but eventually got the role after meeting with casting director Jennifer Venditti.

Fans of the show praised Cloud for his authenticity in the role, to the extent that he spoke about the misconceptions people had that he didn't have to do much when the cameras were on.

'It bothers me when people say, 'It should be so easy!' You can go in and be yourself,” he countered Variety. “I said, 'Why don't you do that?' It's not that simple. I added a lot to the character. You can believe whatever you want. It has nothing to do with me.'
