Tom Brady should head to the San Francisco 49ers in what would be a “dream scenario,” Keyshawn Johnson says as speculation continues about what the 45-year-old will do next.

ESPN NFL analyst and former Super Bowl champion Keyshawn Johnson has called spending a year with the San Fransico 49ers a “dream scenario” for Tom Brady.

The 45-year-old Brady is currently deciding not only if he will play next season, but also where he will be as he becomes a free agent this offseason.

‘Here is the setting of my dreams for [49ers general manager] John Lynch and [coach] Kyle Shanahan. There’s a guy in South Florida who’s 45 years old,” Johnson said, as covered by NBC Sports Bay Area.

Brady will be a free agent and everything indicates that he will leave the Buccaneers if he plays again

‘[If I’m the 49ers’ front office]I’m going to have a conversation with him when I get to free agency, and I’m going to say, ‘Hey, you can ride into the sunset with essentially the same type of team that you had when you left New England and went to Tampa. [Bay].

‘I want you to come play for me in [San Francisco], Thomas. I have a strong defense. I have a racing game. I have one of the most dynamic players in the NFL on the offensive side of the ball in Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel, who is No. 2.’

‘We can upgrade one or two receiver positions. By the way, we have one of the best tight ends in [George] Kittle.

49ers coach Kyle Shanahan has proven to be one of the best offensive brains in the NFL.

The 49ers have one of the best tight ends in the NFL in George Kittle for Brady to throw to.

Christian McCaffery and Deebo Samuel are also two of the most versatile players in the league.

Upgrades at receiver may not even be necessary for a 49ers offense that has already become one of the most dangerous in the league under coach Shanahan.

Shanahan and the 49ers were able to go all the way to the NFC Championship before being blown out by the Philadelphia Eagles, despite having four different quarterbacks playing this year and each ending up injured.

Sophomore quarterback Trey Lance had originally started the year before suffering a broken ankle. Jimmy Garoppolo then suffered a broken foot that would end his season.

The 49ers offense was led by the last pick in the 2022 NFL draft in rookie quarterback Brock Purdy before Purdy suffered a throwing arm injury during the game.

San Francisco then inserted veteran journeyman Josh Johnson before he left the game on concussion protocol only for an injured Purdy to end the loss.

Brock Purdy suffered a torn UCL injury to his pitching elbow in the losing effort for the NFC Championship

All three 49ers quarterbacks who started games suffered serious injuries this year.

It was revealed the next day that Purdy would be sidelined for about six months after tearing the UCL in his pitching elbow.

Brady has been incredibly durable during his 23-year career and has only missed significant time due to injury once in his career when he suffered a torn ACL in 2008.

If Brady were to return to the Bay Area, where he grew up rooting for the 49ers, that durability would bring a refreshing change of pace to San Francisco’s quarterback room, which has clearly become too used to dealing with injuries.

Brady’s incredible durability would be a refreshing change of pace for the 49ers and their fans.
