Eshay girls refuse to pay at Get Polished nail salon in Newcastle’s Waratah, instead attacking a worker and telling him to ‘go back to his country’

Police are searching for two teenage ‘eshays’ who refused to pay their bill at a family-run nail salon, assaulted an employee, racially abused him and fled the scene.

The female duo visited Get Polished nail salon in the Newcastle suburb of Waratah at around 2.30pm on Sunday, where they asked for two complete sets of acrylic nails for $140.

Then, according to the staff, they refused to hand over the money for the service, blaming the lack of cell service in the store for the reason they couldn’t pay.

The two fled and when an employee caught up with them, they kicked him in the stomach and punched him in the face, before telling the man of Asian descent to “go back to your own country.”

In footage posted to the Salon’s Facebook page, one of the girls can be heard saying: ‘Try to catch me with this f**king stupid c**t’ as they drive away on a scooter.

“That’s what I thought, mother f***er,” she said to the worker.

“They were rude… (The male staff member) was very upset,” store owner Lee said News.com.au.

In a post on the salon’s Facebook page, they claim the two girls had “provoked and dared our employee to fight back if he dared and said they were underage.”

“We are a small family business trying to make a living and would like to warn the community and other small businesses so this doesn’t happen to them,” the message reads.

“We hope that by sharing this message they will stop this terrible and unacceptable behavior.”

Lee said her frustration is not about the money, but about the disrespect.

“I’m angry because it happened a lot,” Lee said.

‘Teenagers know their strength and can get away with anything.

‘Laying charges will not affect them at all, I know because the exact same incident happened to my staff (at another store).

“They ran and my staff caught them, and they still got away.”

Numerous locals responded to the salon’s Facebook post to decry the girls’ actions towards staff.

“Actions like this are unacceptable, contemptuous, disrespectful and so shameful,” one local resident wrote.

“They are absolutely horrible and they and their parents should be ashamed of themselves,” wrote a second.

NSW Police have released descriptions of two girls they believe can assist with investigations, and are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.

‘The first woman is described as a white woman with blond hair. She was last seen wearing a black ‘Champion’ hoodie, with gray tracksuit bottoms and black and white ‘slippers’,” a NSW Police statement read.

‘The second woman is described as a white woman with dark brown hair. She was last seen wearing a gray ‘Ellesse’ sweater, with dark pants and white ‘Onitsuka Tiger’ sneakers.”
