Escape from Tarkov has completely changed his most annoying quest
Good news, Escape from Tarkov fans: the game’s most annoying quest is no more. Well, it’s still included by namebut the most annoying aspect has thankfully been sent out into the sun, hopefully never to be seen again.
The quest in question is ‘A Shooter Born In Heaven’. For Tarkov‘s latest patch (0.13.5, released last week), the quest required players to take out a certain number of enemies from a certain distance. Like NME reports, originally players had to take out three Private Military Contractor (PMC) enemies at a distance of 100 meters or more in four specific locations. Unfortunately for anyone who hates long-range weapons, the developers then decided to raise the bar, and this requirement was later changed to 125m or more, making it even more difficult.
As of the new patch, ‘A Shooter Born In Heaven’ fortunately no longer has targets based on the distance of your shots. Now players must take to the streets of Tarkov, Shoreline, Woods, Reserve, Customs, Lighthouse, and Interchange, where they are tasked with taking out five PMC agents with headshots while using the bolt-action rifle. To be clear, that’s five enemies in each location, for a total of 35 eliminations, so it’s still not the fastest quest in the world, but the change of aim will certainly come as a relief to some.

The game’s new patch also erased players’ progress for the first time this year – everyone’s inventory, stats, mission progress, and skills have been completely reset. If you’ve played Tarkov Of course, for a while, the concept of clearing won’t be anything new to you, but it would be understandable if newer players were a bit gloomy about losing their progress. At least it will be easier to finish ‘A Shooter Born in Heaven’ again this time.
