ESC shuts down: Popular Japanese and gaming restaurant closes its doors in Chatswood, Sydney

Popular gaming and dining spot ESC has announced it will close for good.

The restaurant and bar in North Sydney’s Chatswood will officially close on March 29.

The venue is known for treating diners to mouthwatering Japanese dishes while customers play games in private gaming areas on PS5 and Nintendo consoles.

ESC would have launched at the end of 2022.

The restaurant informed customers of the difficult decision to close the business via a pop-up message on their website

“Dear valued customers, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the permanent closure of ESC from March 29,” the message read.

“Thank you for being part of this journey.”

Daily Mail Australia has contacted ESC for comment.

Customers can choose to play up to 25 games on the on-site PlayStation and 32 games on Nintendo Switches, including the popular Super Mario Brothers.

Diners can choose from a range of delicious dishes, including a sashimi platter, Wagyu skewers and a cheesy mashed potato.

The restaurant was highly rated by online food critics and bloggers who praised the restaurant for the dishes served to the customers and the service.
