The report reveals that the Ghanaian international flew to London to undergo his medical with Fulham, but was adamant that he wanted to stay in France.

It is said that he was in tears all day as he felt he was being kicked out of the club.

He completed the first part of his medical examination but is said to have failed to appear at the final stage.

It is believed that even his agent could not find him, resulting in the deal falling through and the player still playing for Lyon.

Lyon have not played since the day after the deadline, but Nuamah has made two first-team appearances in Ligue 1 so far this season, with his first two games coming against Rennes and Monaco respectively.

Following the events, Lyon owner John Textor, who is involved in the ownership of Crystal Palace and has been linked with a takeover of Everton, is said to have sent a letter apologising for the situation.

Nuamah was initially expected to join Everton, but Fulham reportedly snatched the deal at the last minute.

The potential transfer to Fulham is said to be worth around £16m.
