Erling Haaland has reportedly moved from the busy streets of Manchester to the Cheshire countryside to live 10 minutes away from fellow Man City teammate Jack Grealish.

The 24-year-old previously rented a city center apartment where Grealish was his neighbor before the England star bought a mansion for £5.6 million in 2023.

Haaland was reportedly spotted viewing houses with his long-term partner Isabel Haugseng Johansen, 20, in October 2024.

Isabel, who is a footballer herself and also works part-time at a fashion store, is said to have met Haaland at Bryne’s youth academy, for whom they both played.

She recently gave birth, making Haaland a father for the first time, and the couple seems keen to settle down in light of the milestone – with The sun report that they have moved to the countryside.

Their six-bed mansion near Alderley Edge is estimated to be 30 minutes from Manchester city center and has been a renowned venue for Man United and City players over the years.

Alderly Edge is part of what is known as the ‘Golden Triangle’, also known as the ‘Footballer Belt’ – an area of prosperous small towns and villages in Cheshire.

The triangle, which spans about five miles at its furthest point, includes the area within Alderley Edge, Prestbury and Wilmslow.

Five of the ten most expensive roads in North West England are in this area, which is also home to wealthy business and entertainment industry figures.

Liverpool players Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk are also believed to live in the triangle, as it is a manageable 50-minute drive from the Reds’ training ground in Kirkby.

Haaland’s decision to settle down with his family in Manchester could be inspiring news for City fans as speculation about his future has been intense in recent months.

In November it was reported that City want him to put pen to paper on a new contract to stay at the club for at least another five years.

The total package is believed to be worth £100 million, without even taking bonuses into account.

The Norwegian has been linked with Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, but City are keen to fend off interest in their star striker.

Haaland has flourished under Pep Guardiola since signing for City in 2022, scoring 111 goals in 125 club appearances.

City won an unprecedented Treble in Haaland’s first season and retained the Premier League title last season.

Haaland has claimed the Golden Boot in each of his two seasons in the Premier League and is on course to win the award again after scoring 12 goals in his first 11 league games in 2024/25.
