Erling Haaland has shared a photo of himself wearing a breathing apparatus on his social media pages.
Haaland recently suffered a setback in his comeback from injury after Manchester City’s medical team withdrew the Norwegian striker from training this week.
The 23-year-old is struggling to overcome a foot problem that left him unable to walk after last month’s loss to Aston Villa, but appears to be doing everything he can to aid his recovery.
Haaland has previously admitted that he tapes his mouth shut when he sleeps and the Norwegian striker appeared to prove it after sharing the photo on social media.
In a post to his Instagram Story, the Man City star was bare-chested in a selfie on Friday evening, which showed him wearing the breathing aid over his mouth.

He captioned the post: “Think outside the box.”
Back in August, Haaland stated that he tapes his mouth shut before going to sleep and also revealed that he wears glasses that block blue light for three hours before bed.
The 23-year-old reveals some of the secrets behind his success while performing Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast.
Haaland said: “I think sleep is the most important thing in the world.
‘So to get a good night’s sleep, simple things with blue blocking glasses, which block out all signals in the bedroom.
‘Doing a lot of things is not good, but doing small things every day for a longer period of time really pays off.’
He previously revealed his heart and liver diet that helped him become a success in a documentary called Haaland: The Big Decision.
Showing large pieces of heart and liver from his butcher, he said: ‘You (other people) don’t eat this, but I am concerned about taking care of my body.
“I think eating quality food that is as local as possible is the most important thing.”

Haaland also revealed that he only drinks water through a complicated filtration system.
He said: ‘The first thing I do in the morning is get some sunlight in my eyes – it’s good for the circadian rhythm. I’ve also started filtering my water a bit. I think it can have great benefits for my body.’
He consumes 6,000 calories a day to keep his physical condition in top condition. Last season he revealed his secret ‘magic potion’ in an Instagram video: milk mixed with spinach and kale.
In May last year he showed off a tray of beef liver on Instagram after a win over Everton.
