Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland will not follow in Lionel Messi’s footsteps and make his mark in MLS soon.

Messimania has already traveled the world of American football with the 36-year-old Argentine and has already helped Inter Miami lift its first trophy since joining David Beckham’s club in mid-July.

Meanwhile, Haaland took English football by storm last season, winning a historic Treble and scoring 52 goals in just 51 appearances for Manchester City.

However, the Norwegian shut down any talk that he would follow Messi and soon take his talent across the Atlantic.

He insisted that he had not considered a move to the MLS because his entire football career was still ahead of him.

“I haven’t been there much, so it’s hard to say,” Haaland said on the channel ‘Impaulsive’ podcast with Logan Paul and KSI.

“But I’m 23, people go to the MLS and play football there. I’ve never thought of that because I’m young.’

But Haaland did hint that towards the end of his playing days he would be open to playing in the United States in the future.

“I am a footballer, in ten years I will be 33 and I have my last few years in football,” he added.

Haaland’s MLS defeat stems from his PFA Player of the Year award, which he won after his record-breaking campaign.

Last season in the Premier League, he scored 36 goals in 35 games – a new record – to be unanimously selected to wrestle the PFA gong from Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

By winning the peers’ chosen award in his debut season in the Premier League, Haaland, who beat teammates Kevin De Bruyne and John Stones to the trophy, becomes the first foreign player since Ruud van Nistelrooy in the 2001-02 season to win the in his debut season.

As well as the three standout City players in contention, Haaland also held off competition from Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard. Harry Kane, now at Bayern Munich, was also nominated for the award.

Haaland revealed that he often tapes his mouth shut and wears special glasses while sleeping

And he seemed to owe his bizarre bedtime routine to his success while performing on the podcast.

“I think sleep is the most important thing in the world,” Haaland said.

‘So for a good night’s sleep, simple things with blue blocking glasses, which shut out all signals in the bedroom.

‘Doing many things is not good, but doing small things every day for a longer period of time really pays off.’

In addition to taping his mouth, Haaland says he regularly uses a sauna.

‘You should try to tape your mouth. I sleep with it.’

‘I have it (a sauna) at my house, so I try not to do it every day but almost every day. Sauna, steam bath.’
